This is a fabulous post, Renee. I don't think I have anything to 'confess', I'm queer and pretty vanilla. A lot of my fantasies centre around sexual activity with women because being in a long-term, monogamous relationship with a man, I'm not getting any o' that right now! ;)

Oh Renee, what a beautiful post. Orion is the same age as Mayhem (4y10m) and I do exactly the same with him. I pull him into my lap, despite him being almost too big, and kiss him all over and tell him that Mummy loves him more than anything. They are only small for a short while, and we should make the most of it while we can. <3

Some great links as always Renee. I'd like to drop my own link, if that's allowed? Why I Don't "Support Our Troops" (as the title suggests, it's kind of controversial!).

I have had variations on "What's wrong with you?" when using my cane or a scooter, but only from people I know (however tenuously) and generally because the last time they saw me, many years ago, I was not using mobility aids. I don't tend to mind it when people ask because they're genuinely concerned. But an outright "What's wrong with you?" would piss me the hell off.

Hear fucking hear. Another problem I get when using a mobility scooter is people assuming I'm using it because I'm fat. Because clearly one cannot be simultaneously fat and disabled, am I right? *sigh*

I don't know how to separate eggs, either. Luckily none of the baking recipes I use call for separated eggs, else I'd be screwed!

Living in the UK, I've never heard of Juneteenth before. It sounds like an important day, and it's a shame it seems to have been ignored/erased.

Just so you know, s.e. smith identifies as non-binary and does not identify as a 'she' but an 'ou'.
