Lost and Tired : Should #Autism and Zoloft be mixed?

Although not on the spectrum myself, Zoloft and its generic counterpart have worked wonders for my serotonin deficiency. Haven't tried it for my Aspie son, not going to because it's pro'ly not necessary. Thanks for this helpful post.
getdclu.com : We Can Stop Obama’s Rural Council

You are right in that many of the failed policies began way back and that both sides have shared in dividing our nation; neither party is cleared of guilt as the statue of socialism stands on two legs - the left and the right. IMHO though, the progressives have driven this country into economic ruin and social upheaval faster than the Republicans, so in that case they are more efficient at their injury to our great Constitution and free way of life! So what solution do you propose, good sir?? Do tell.

getdclu.com : Rebuttal for Perry

Mrs Lacey, as you know, I am a Bible-believing Christ follower, and not one to take lightly any word from God. Not to second guess the Lord, my thought would be that He would confirm these local prophecies with others in other parts of the country since this is a national - an American - event, perhaps even one with global consequences. I will keep this in the back of my mind, but for now, I cannot figure out why the One True God would want his pick allowing our children to learn about the fallacies of Islam.

getdclu.com : Vet Perry Now! (Ignorance is Inexcusable, Damage is Immense)

OC, altho' we do live in a fallen world whose evil all men have contributed to and we should work toward harmony, there will be no peace without the One Who Died for all to be saved, the Creator of all things, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Jesus Christ the Righteous. In man we have religion, but in Christ we have RELATIONSHIP with this God-King! In man there is hate and distrust, but in Christ there is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control - the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23a). These things are born out of true Christians, not those who "make there own interpretations and use religion to promote there self driven idiology," (sic) as you said. The difference of Christianity than all other religions is that our God was raised from the dead and came back to prove it. So this Jesus is Someone to be dealt with, either now, or later.

getdclu.com : Why the Balanced Budget Amendment is The WORST Idea Ever

In the words of fellow forum writers... (at canadafreepress.com/) How about, instead of a Balanced Budget Amendment, the last insult from the Me Generation to their posterity--changing the Constitutional form of Government, lets have a "Return to Enumerated Powers Act" whereby ALL programs not falling within those Enumerated Powers are IMMEDIATELY turned over to the States where they belong, to do with as they will... No bailouts though. Let every knucklehead reap their own reward. (Sapient) Is social security listed as an enumerated power of Congress? Is Medicare? Is Medicaid? Education? Job training? And so on for thousands of areas in which Congress makes laws and appropriates funds. No! They are not listed as enumerated powers. Therefore, Congress has no authority to make laws re the same. So the programs are unconstitutional as outside the scope of the legislative powers granted to Congress by the Constitution. The problem is with The People. They love social security. They love medicare. This is why I call upon the American People to repent of their desire to live at other peoples' expense; and to resume the noble character trait of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. If we were to become again a moral people, we would elect to Congress people who would follow Alexander Hamilton's words in Federalist Paper No. 81 (8th para) and impeach, try, convict and remove from the bench all federal judges who usurp power. We are in big trouble. But the cause of the problem is with The People. WE became corrupt. WE must repent of our desire to have the government "take care of us"; WE must become mature responsible adults who manage our own lives - and take care of our own families. It is a shame that the churches have been silent on this Great Moral Issue of Our Time. (Publius Huldah)

getdclu.com : Goodbye yellow brick road: Calif. high school a dead end for free speech

Yes, all the while stripping out references to Biblical teachings and values and how the Founders based our documents on Biblical foundations. They've purposely done what is wrong, just as is stated in Romans 1:28-32...~~~~~
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. ~~~~~
Thank you for your cogent comments, Mike!

getdclu.com : Truth is Divisive

That is akin to the story in Daniel chapter 5 about King Belshazzar drinking from the consecrated goblets of the Jewish Temple and toasting to his gods of gold and silver and other man-made objects. Like the goblets, we Christ-followers are vessels that have been consecrated, set apart as holy by God for His use. He has anointed us & set His seal upon us, making us His (2 Cor. 1:21-22). Thus, since there is no god but YHWH, the I AM, is not the god of Islam a pagan god? The Babylonian king desecrated the holy vessels and the hand of God wrote his destruction on the wall. Should we, God's saints (holy ones) allow such desecration as well? We shall not become unholy or unclean by this act of disgrace to our Sovereign Lord.

getdclu.com : Can You Hear Me Now???

Chris, you've hit upon the symptoms of a fallen world, not the root cause of the fall itself - sin, a separation from God the Father. You understand where many don't that the bickerings between denominations are of little value when the culture is falling apart around our ears. But it all comes back to the source of this immorality - sin. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:22-24). Just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam), God gave us a way out in life through Christ (the last Adam). Not piddling in semantics or twittering our time away arguing about how others live their lives, but living lives of love and discernment following Jesus' teachings. He has given Christians the Holy Spirit to guide us; it's about time we lived like it! Jesus said non-believers would know we are Christians by how we love one another in the faith. My prayer is that people would be drawn to the "something different" in us, the difference that Christ makes in our lives and that a new generation of Christ followers would be used by God to bring this country back to glorify Him. Please comment on some of my more recent posts as I enjoy your thoughtfulness.

getdclu.com : Can You Hear Me Now???

From Cnerlien: Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, and Alexander Hamilton were not Christian fundamentalists and in fact advocated for separating the church from the state. Jefferson and Paine in particular were Deists. Read Thomas Jefferson's "Notes on the State of Virginia" and you will understand. You're calling for a theocracy, not democracy. Response: This is a common misconception perpetrated by liberals to coincide with their erroneous belief that there is a wall separating religion from government (see 1947 SC Justice Hugo Black). Paine is on his own as a different category, granted. But the others, esp. Jefferson, stood up for Christianity both in their writings and their actions. Some of Jefferson's last letters are the most spiritual. Please peruse an excellent website on these issues headed by David Barton, Wallbuilders.org. I know of none better. Also see my post, "Christian Nation" (11/27/09). Thank you for commenting!

Unfortunately you're right, Mike. This is a disastrous situation that can easily be mitigated if the feds would just close the border - period. But they want the 16M new Democrat voters ("amnesty") so they can stay in power permanently. It all comes down to political power. These are the 'usurptations' the forefathers spoke of in the Declaration.

getdclu.com : Incriminating Video

My dear mother cheetah, Publius-Huldah, gives some options available to us as Americans to remedy the govt's usurpations (http://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/contact/ ) 17.2 James Madison said in Federalist No. 44 (17th para), re usurpations by Congress, “…a remedy must be obtained from the people, who can, by the election of more faithful representatives, annul the acts of the usurpers.” Yes, the ballot box is one remedy, but not our only remedy. Alexander Hamilton said in Federalist No. 33 (7th para) that acts of Congress which are not pursuant to the Constitution (Art. VI, cl. 2) are merely acts of usurpation and deserve to be treated as such, and: “If the federal government should overpass the just bounds of its authority and make a tyrannical use of its powers, the people, whose creature it is, must appeal to the standard they have formed [The Constitution], and take such measures to redress the injury done to the Constitution as the exigency may suggest and prudence justify.” (6th para) What is Hamilton saying? Simply this: That We the People may do whatever We think we need to do to reign in a lawless usurping federal government. “Prudence” requires us to act intelligently & morally; and the “exigencies” require us to make our reaction appropriate to the usurpation & the circumstances. That clearly understood, the remedies available to us include nullification by States, jury nullification, the ignoring of unconstitutional laws, regulations & orders by individuals, groups, local governments & States, “Tenth Amendment” resolutions with teeth, withdrawal of support, peaceful protests & rallies, & ultimately, but only as the absolute last resort, that remedy discussed by our James Madison, Father of the U.S. Constitution, and former President of these United States, in the Federalist No. 46 (7th – 9th paras). Our prime task now is to educate & inform our fellow Citizens about our Constitution. Ignorance & statist ideology are doing us in! May God remove the scales from our eyes before things come to blows. PH

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but please get a copy to share with your friends and family - it's a quick read, in his charming manner, with some fantastic history even I didn't know.
