Full Court Press : Open Net: 2011 Kings Draft Day

Real good draft Geoff! Personally I have not been that high on Jimmer but I know why other people are so I can go along with that. You made room for Jimmer by waiving Jermaine Taylor and turned Beno into Salmons, a veteran wing who can hit 3's and defend (it's time for Omri and Donte to either step up or step aside). I am really high on Tyler Honeycutt, one of the most athletic if not the most athletic SFs in this draft who can defend, move without the ball, has good vision and passing ability, catch and shoot, he's a mutli-dimensional player (he also gets the Howland/UCLA better-in-the-NBA- than-in-college bump!). Isaiah Thomas at 60...well....at least Aykis at Sactown Royalty is happy.

Please don't send Valanciunas to the Spurs....they've had Duncan all these years and now to give them their next Center....why help them rebuild? I can see Valanciunas play alongside Cousins.

Please don't give San Antonio Jonas Valanciunas! I understand if you want to expedite the rebuilding process, but do you have to help Buford and Pop in the process as well? How about sending Jonas to the Pacers or Sixers to get Granger of Iggy?

On how he would have guarded himself on the play “I probably would have trapped him.” Go back to the tape...look where Dalembert was....to prevent a 3 maybe you gotta be closer to the 3 point line? I'm not trying to be negative, but I am being critical because I still care. Go Sacramento Kings!

What's the difference between "Kentucky Demarcus" and "Kings Demarcus"? You answer this question and you have 1/3 to 1/2 of your turnover problems solved. He needs to get the ball down low....and the other players are still poor at moving without the ball and getting open. He's also not getting enough assisted field goals in the paint. For now, Boogie should be living and thriving in the paint. Since the Kings were playing in Illinois, I'm going to go off on a tangent....I watched Illinois v. Kansas and I think the Kings should look at Tyshawn Taylor over Demetri McCamey. I like Taylor's defense on McCamey, his passing, his speed, and he's a better athlete than McCamey.

When asked if the turnovers were related to the absence of Tyreke Evans and Beno Udrih “I think it’s more than that. We can turn it over 21 times when Beno and Tyreke play too." This has been going on all season...where is the improvement? How are you addressing Cuz's TO's? How about working on creating passing lanes and angles...Cuz can't pass the ball if he can't see the open player; passing out of the low post when Cuz is double/triple team; having him pass the ball out to get better position...he's a good passer but he can be a black hole when he gets the ball down there and makes his move to the basket...you're not fixing the problem by giving Cuz the ball further away from the basket to face up....you're just creating more/different opportunitites for him to turn it over...And it's not just Cuz...the other players need to create better passing angles and cuts. The untapped potential of this team drives me nuts...Go Kings!

Full Court Press : Taylor Stepping Up as Starter

I still like Jermaine starting. I like his athleticism to take it to the rim, but still looks to pass when he penetrates. It's not about who starts, it's about the minutes....don't worry, Marcus will get his minutes.

Please work on spacing and the entry pass into the post.... I agree with what Jerry said...Marcus is really good at passing out of the picknroll...I would like to see in certain situations Reke out there as a 3 with Beno and Marcus (still needs to work on getting through/around those picks on D). Boogie was great; passing out of the doubles will be important if he's to "dominate everyone he faced inside" ....there was some standing around....set some flare screens...

I recall PW yelling "Move the ball" at Cuz when the Laker D was getting tougher at the end... The players without the ball need to move faster and work harder to get open... You can't move/pass the ball if the other players themselves are "moving" around the court like the Harlem Globetrotters and the Generals.... Take a football mentality and do whatever it takes to loose your man (remember that flashback of Kobe pushing off Sergio for the game winner?)...make your own passing lane.

If you don't mind, I'd like to use the word "more" versus the word "less" for positive reinforcement.... Tyreke being more of a distributor, more of a faciliator, more of a decoy, more of a initiator will help this team as whole get better.

Full Court Press : Postgame: Kings @ Celtics

I like this quote from PW: I think sometimes we have the tendency to think its time for me to get a shot, rather than its time for us to execute and find a shot and it comes from experience and trusting your teammates and understanding what makes it fun in this league and that’s playing together to get wins, not individual things. Reke hasn't been playing the last few games, so it makes you wonder who PW is refering to in that above quote....maybe he's refering to someone else... Even Reggie Miller on the TNT broadcast made a comment about the Kings players taking turns looking for their own shot. Teamwork is more than just taking turns having the ball in your hands.
