This subject is old news but most of the stimulus money has not yet been spent and a few lines might be time well spent.

It seems that the Canadians (among others) are upset over the language in the stimulus bill (I could write a few lines on the stimulus but I will have to wait). The stimulus calls for preferential treatment of American MADE products when available. Not that this will be completely honored by those who do the purchasing.

The stimulus by my definition is designed to STIMULATE THE AMERICAN ECONOMY. The CANADIAN GOVERNMENT WILL HAVE TO STIMULATE THEIR ECONOMY and get off our backs about it. If they place language in their stimulus to provide Canadian companies with preference, I would agree completely. In fact I would be critical of it if it didn't.

America has been the joke behind closed doors for far to long. Countries all over the world take advantage of our good nature and fortune. When will our politicians finally stand up and say "what is wrong with you". Sometimes we must put the interests of this country ahead of all others.

Just to note, I'm not a protectionist nor an economist. But I think a third grader can supply the answer to the Canadian question.

When did we lose control? Our once great country was great because of the values and character of it's citizens. We were not a people that was led by politicians like we are today. The tables have turned; Instead of the people guiding the country with common values and virtues we stand blind and mute; following, supporting, and advancing extreme liberalism. If only by our silence, but still advancing.

What we see today is not a society that has matured, rather a society that holds nothing sacred. Since the creation of our country we have always been guided by our faith in God. This faith has demanded conservative values and ultimately, laws. Things made sense and there was always respect for the way things were. I don't pretend to think that we shouldn't advance, but to what end — maybe our own?

Politicians have no idea what it is to lead. Getting elected does not make a leader. A true American leader would embrace and hold true to the constitution. Washington and I mean all of them have completely abandoned the constitution and the ideas that have made this country the greatest the planet has ever known.

I will no longer be silent, and I will no longer assume that those elected are capable. I will, with full passion, work to the best of my abilities to bring about the change that I believe the constitution demands. I will endeavor to become elected and I will:

1. Hold true to the constitution of the United States of America
2. Not waiver from my Christian beliefs. nor will I be ashamed of them
3. Not attempt to impose my beliefs, unless they are in agreement with the Constitution
4. Not twist the Constitution to benefit my beliefs
5. Do my absolute best to convince those that are in disagreement with me that my way is the right way
6. Do my best to understand and not dismiss those that are in opposistion with my beleifs
7. Not support policy or laws that will provide me with financial gain - in any manner
8. Not support expenditures that will benefit other individuals for individual political gain
9. Make all corruption a matter of public record
10. Not forget that my cause is great and just

Our country will be great again, my daughters are counting on me. As always, help support your neighbor so he can help support you.

As I have claimed - Nothing in this country is sacred - any more. Not even human life. The people that support and advance this atrocity are without a soul and have no fear of ultimately, one day, answering for these horrific sins.

When was the last time any of you have asked yourself "is anything in this country sacred anymore"? I ask myself that question every day; as I read the paper, as I watch the news, as I read the blogs, as I talk with my co-workers, as I pick my children up from school, as I go shopping etc... This country holds nothing sacred - anymore. I have made a decision that I'm going to make a difference and I will remind and persuade them to remember what it is to be an American.

To follow and support the President and the rest of the self serving corrupt politicians is insanity. Todays politicians do not care about America. They care only about their agenda and their end game. After elected, they talk the talk and humor their constituents to believe that they are governing with the interests of their constituents as a priority. Utter non-sense.

I have always been a firm believer that I support my neighbors so that they can support me. You may ask how would I do that. For starters I buy American automobiles. Anyone that claims they buy foreign because the quality is not there has no idea what they are talking about. When I purchase a Ford (I have two - My F250 and my wife's Escape) it keeps my next door neighbor, the guy across the street, around the corner and your neighbor working. They in turn receive a weekly paycheck and spend their money on the service I provide and the service you provide. Ford Motor Company takes the revenue form my purchase and reinvests it in the local communities, the schools, local and national charities etc... You guys are smart you need me to pen this out.

On Memorial Day my daughters had softball practice. As a proud, very proud Army veteran and grateful American I was floored and insisted with notice to the coach that my girls would not be attending and that he should apologize to every family for holding practice. He did not seem aware of the special significance this day holds?

Dear Weezo, I am a free thinking patriotic conservative and often find myself trying to understand those to the left. I'm humbled at the wisdom of our founding fathers and place a great deal of gratitude in the country and their writings. After reading your note I find myself asking what could anyone find objectionable about the principles? Can you please explain what you take issue with and why. I ask so that I can understand, not to attack you. Thanks.

I just signed up and wanted to say hello. I have been very unhappy with the direction of our country for some time. I describe my displeasure as "nothing in this country is sacred anymore". I'm hoping that I will be able to discover some effective and usefull way to alter the course. Maybe this site will provide me with ideas where I won't feel as if I'm wasting my time or viewed as a maniac by the left. Thanks.
