Virginia Right! : THEY DID IT! REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY PASSES ANTI-AGENDA 21 RESOLUTION!

it's great news, but the battle isn't won. Your communities can be implementing Agenda 21 without ICLEI. Anytime you have 'sustainability' or 'sustainable development' beware.....that is what Agenda 21 was all about. Look to your local comprehensive plan and zoning codes. There is where the danger lies.

"Jobs can and must be created. Family farms must be saved. The oil and gas industry must be divested of its political power and cheap, reliable alternative energy must be made available." Who do you suppose is supplying thousands of jobs? The oil and gas industry that you want to shut down. It CERTAINLY is not the government! and it is about time to step out of la-la-land and finally admit that 'cheap, alternative energy' is a pipe dream. Solyndra, anyone? Ethanol, anyone? The law of unintended consequences came back and bit us in the rear on that whole debacle. These alternative energy scams only succeed on the backs of tax payers. There is no such thing as 'cheap'. Except for maybe the way these 'green' companies whore themselves out for gov't largess. And the rest of us get screwed. The "Occupy Wall Street" movement needs a serious injection of reality. But instead they will get an infusion of socialist/marxist labor union members [astro-turf at its finest] injected into the movement by their union handlers in order to gain even more traction in the press.

So, I guess the Senate now expects the House to bend over and pass the infamous 'Gang of 6' travesty trotted out earlier this week, which is no real plan, but lots of 'promises' to deal with the spending...after the debt ceiling is raised, of course. You know, the one that Obama lauded - so it's GOT to be good, right? /sarc The HOUSE must stand firm and McConnell better find his backbone in the Senate. Oh, and the 3 notorious GOP senators in the 'Gang of 6' should prepare their staff members for unrelenting phone calls and emails, not just from ticked off voters in their home districts but from around the nation. Melt those phone lines!! Crapo - Idaho 202-224-6142 Chambliss - Georgia 202-224-352 Coburn - Oklahoma 202-224-5754 If the status-quo tax-and-OVERspend attitude continues, I remind them of the 3 R's for their education... R - E - C - A - L - L R - E - M - O - V - E R - E - P - L - A - C - E

Big Government : House GOP Passes 'Cut, Cap and Balance' Plan; Trims Spending by $6 Trillion

We need to flood the Senate with calls and emails, demanding they get behind Cut, Cap and Balance. Force the Dems in the Senate to stand against it, if they dare. People are wising up...though slowly. But if the Dems refuse to pass this, they will have to face their constituents. It will be up to the informed voters in their districts to make sure the electorate remember the incumbents' refusal to pass this legislation. I say, stand up and holler!! We've marched around the city enough, it is now time to raise a shout and bring this wall of big government and overspending down and consign it to the dust-heap of history!!

bad news - the wolves are now in OR, so they'll be making short work of the elk. The wolves are also causing losses on OR ranches near the Idaho border. ID, MT and WY ranchers have been living with this scourge for over 20 years, and wolf packs are either migrating into OR and WA or have been secretly released....or most likely both.

Big Government : Underlying Mechanics Behind the SEIU Anti-corporate Smear Campaign Against Sodexo

What is intriguing is Sodexo has paid homage to the progressive agenda. If you look on their website under colleges and universities, you will see this: We're proud to be leading the charge towards change in areas including sustainability, diversity and inclusion, wellness, and fighting hunger. We strive to set the example every day. So even if you bow to the progressive agenda, it is no guarantee they won't turn on you in a flash. A cautionary tale ...Corporate America take note. Getting in bed with the progressives provides little protection against their wrath. One more illustration of how compromises come around to bite you in the hiney?

Big Government : The Gang of Six Is Back from the Dead: Contemplating the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly in their Budget

Crapo is my Senator, and I just "reached out and touched" him at his local office also. GOP needs to quit play footsie and get serious. Unfortunately, Crapo was just re-elected in 2010, so he has 5+ more years before he faces the people of Idaho on a ballot. Politicians all seem to get a little hard of hearing until right before election time. (One more reason to have US senators serve at the will of the state legislatures, who could recall a senator home at any time when they became tone deaf - alas for the 17th amendment) Else, we should shorten the 6 year term to a 2 year term, just like for US House of Representatives. It would keep them a little more in tune to their constituents.

Crapo is my Senator, and I just "reached out and touched" him at his local office also. GOP needs to quit play footsie and get serious. Propose a hard cutting bill and make the democrats counter with their own plan, or make the President veto it. Trying to make the process 'painless' only causes greater, more long-lasting pain for our critically-ill economy. Get in there with the knife and do the radical surgery necessary.

Big Government : In Face of Democrat Demands for Tax Hikes, Boehner Seeks Smaller Deal on Debt Ceiling

He offers a 'compromise' of 2.4 Trillion in cuts over 10 years? Our current deficit is 14+ Trillion!! This is all smoke and mirrors. Dr. Boehner slaps a bandaid over a gangrenous wound and tells his patient, Joe American, that this will start the healing process for the flesh-consuming internal rot. Riiiiiiiiight. There is no magic bandaid. You just have to bite the bullet and cut out the infection that is poisoning our system. That 'infection' is entitlement spending, over spending, and a leviathan government that has a gluttonous appetite for more, more, more....more regulation, more spending, more programs, more taxes. It has never heard the word 'when'. Boehner....say 'WHEN'!!!!! We need intervention....and it starts with saying 'NO' to raising the debt ceiling. No deals, no negotiations. Just NO. But I'm afraid Boehner, like most big government, status quo, lifetime politicians, does not get it. The question is - Does Joe American recognize the life-threatening situation? Will he get in the doctor's face and scream until he gets the life-saving surgery to remove the inflection? Or will he sit at home, with his shiny new bandaid, patiently waiting for the hoped-for healing that will never come and shutting his eyes tightly to block out the warning signs of systemic poisoning and impending death?

apparently lawmakers have a hard time understanding this old adage: "You get more of what you subsidize, and less of what you penalize." Sin taxes simply mean people will either buy elsewhere to avoid the tax, or cease or decrease the so-called 'sin' behavior, i.e. smoking. There goes the tax revenue, either way. Why is that so difficult to figure out?
