Sounds like everything is going well for you Slink. Great news that you are over halfway through your course - there is nothing like having the end in sight, no matter how much you have enjoyed a course :) Congrats on the new job too, that is a huge pay jump. Have you started planning how you are going to spend all your extra money yet? How about inviting us all around for a party?? :)

The Geek Mythologies : Back to the Primitive

Thankfully I haven't had to use dial up for about 5 years and I know it's going to drive me insane if I have to use it in the future! But connection is connection, and just look at what you have done with it :) Good to hear from you, however it comes about. As Mr Moon said - What's the latest?

Thankfully we have family and friends in Cairns already so they are going to be bombarded with questions and requests over the next few months. Plus I've got family in Hobart, Canberra and Sydney so I'm sure they will come in handy too :)

Oooh, interesting. I wonder if they will go the 'guest appearance' route? I have to say, I'm never sure about remakes of great series but I've been hooked into the new Knight Rider series so 21 Jumpstreet has a chance.

By the way, when you click on the bubble photos to see them full page, the video clip stays stuck in front of them so you can't see the photos properly. Might want to look into that..... :)

You got the blowfish trick from 21 Jump St? I learnt that trick as a kid too but I don't remember it being on 21 Jump St...... but that could just be my bad memory :) Man I loved that program though - Johnny Depp, Peter DeLuise. I couldn't understand why we didn't have gorgeous undercover cops at our school. But now that I think about it, probably because I went to an all girls' school!!!

The Geek Mythologies : Summer Catch Up & iTunes

The CSI games are pretty good. I've played them on PC, DS and Wii now and all are good. I think the Wii version is the best - lots more interactive. But that might just be because it is a newer medium so they have improved the game since the first ones were brought out. CSI is definitely one of the better investigative games. I got Sherlock Holmes and Women's Murder Club games for the DS for Christmas and finished each of them within a day of starting. The Women's Murder Club game was very basic and basically told you exactly what you had to look for - much like a 'spot the item in the picture' game - nothing very hard about that! Sherlock was better - lots of puzzles and deductions. A bit like Professor Leyton (1 & 2), although Professor Leyton is the best of them so far - takes me a few days of fairly solid playing to complete them. Probably because of the brain strain with all the puzzles :)

The Geek Mythologies : Summer Catch Up & iTunes

Sounds like you have had a great Christmas/New Year break. My New Year's was even more low key than yours. Wayne was working so I spent an hour doing yoga with my new Wii (Chrissy pressie from my man!) then watched about 10 episodes of House (season 3) and started playing CSI: Hard Evidence on the Wii - all supplimented with 1 glass of Kahlua and milk and half a glass of wine. I don't even have a pregnant wife to use as an excuse!

I did try to comment last week but I'm not logged in at home and couldn't remember my login details and so gave up. (although strangely enough I had to log in this morning at work and it worked first time withe details I tried at home last week - so maybe it was a sign........) Anyway! I'm glad you are going to keep writing about you - it's the best way to keep up with the F-M's :) So keep it up!

The Geek Mythologies : Ride Like a Leper

Thanks Gert (ooops, I mean Mr Moon!). My birthday was a bit of a non-event this year anyway. Wayne worked from 7am until 4am the next day so we went to a show in the West End on Saturday night (which we were 10 mins late for) and we were supposed to go for dinner after but Wayne was coming down with a cold and the show was longer than expected so in the end we just went home! So my birthday dinner officially became the McD's we ate in the car earlier that afternoon :) Apparently I'm getting a raincheck on the birthday dinner, but since I'm still the proud owner of a raincheck for our Anniversary Dinner back in March, I'm not holding my breath on it happening before 2010! As for how I spent my actual birthday - I was woken up by a phone call from my dad just before midday. Then I lay in bed watching TV until about 2pm. Got up when the hunger pangs were starting to turn my stomach inside out and spent the rest of the day watching House Season 2 on the computer with a bag of popcorn. A pretty good way to spend a birthday :)
