Our players have learned from a very young age to take direction from some authority figure. Any of you who played any kind of competitive football know what I mean. All the way through their careers they have been trained to “follow the leader”. We don’t have any mavericks like a Cantona or a Roy Keane in the squad that would call bull $h1t on the organisational debacle that currently is West Ham United, AND take matters into their own hands(for the good of the players and the fans). Average Grant has to go,that's a given.But the bigger threat is this Gollivan cartel, which has hijacked our beloved club.The Gold and Sullivan's relationship is a marriage of convenience,their partnership is broken..and their negativity is permeating our club...no leadership...no direction! I have been asking myself the same questions all season. My concern from the outset was that this was Zola’s FIRST managerial job. He didn’t prove himself in Serie B and get some underachievers promoted to Serie A. He didn’t get to make all his rookie mistakes somewhere else, looks to me that his on the job training is taking place at West Ham. Gianfranco is a “Nice” guy, all the opposing managers like to shake his hand before games, lots of smiles and chuckles. Big deal! And OMG you had to pay your hard earned money as well!! This is my 40th year as a Hammers supporter, and without doubt this squad has some of the most spineless/clueless members to ever wear the claret and blue that I have witnessed. In the past we have had some less than technically talented teams assembled but they always had heart ,and passion for the cause. Zola wants the players to"have fun".
