Some one help me here. How does rising oil prices create more profit for the oil companies? If the price of wheat goes up does the bakers profit go up, too? Kodak lost favor with me when it discontinued Ektar 25 iso color film and Technical Pan black and white film. Ektar was an extremely fine grained film with vivid colors. "Tech" pan was the only black and white film discribed as having micro fine grain. It was the standard other manufactures aspired to. So, as far as I'm concerned, I hope Kodak enjoy its ride down the toilet.

Just a side note. The Federal Reserve Bank doesn't print money, the Treasury Dept does. The Treasury prints money and sells it to the Federal Reserve Bank at cost. For example, if it costs $ .05 to print a bill (of any denomination) that's what the "Fed" pays. If the government borrows money from the "Feds", it borrows at face value.
