And many people in the US can't afford their insulin.

For all the provocations of the US/NATO campaign in recent years in Eastern Europe, and they are legion, let's not use that as a justification for levelling schools, apartment blocks, train stations, etc. This is a savage and brutal invasion, with, as usual, innocent civilians mostly paying the price. Human beings need to find a better resolution to their differences, and soon, or we really will find our selves in the apocalypse.

Yes, its the Ukrainians who have bombed half their country into oblivion. The bitterest of pills is ignorance.

"A case can be made that Putin and Russia’s Security Council are implementing a tactical trifecta that has reduced the collective West to an amorphous bunch of bio headless chickens." Some trifecta, thousands of innocent people being slaughtered.

While there is no justification for NATO's (the US) encroachment closer and closer to Ukraine's borders, goaded by neo-con lunatics, there is as well no justification for relentless attacks on apartment blocks and shopping centers. The author should spend more time speaking with Ukrainians who have had their homes levelled by Russian missiles, instead of extolling the brilliance of this sociopath.

"According to the latest Gallup poll, 85% of the population believes that abortion should be legal under some circumstances."
Well, polls show around 70% of the public favors universal healthcare, but Biden won't even discuss it. He is a corporate hack who promised his Wall Street donors that , "fundamentally, nothing will change." Of course, things have changed - for the worse.

Yes, regardless of the constant antagonism by the West (US and its poodles), Putin's invasion is hardly a resolution to the problem of NATO encroachment on Russia's border. It is another case of a 19th century mentality in action. And who will suffer? Not the arms manufacturers, military "contractors" (what they're called when they work for us; mercenaries if they're Russians), or the oil companies. As usual, its the people who only wish they could have a bit of security in going about their daily lives, not worrying about the next drone attack, who wind up paying the real price .

"Ending NATO enlargement could be a victory for all of us."
Ending NATO would be the real victory.

As usual, these psychopaths, so fond of military intervention, conveniently send other people to do the fighting. The carnage from all of this is for others to suffer, not these monsters.

For those of us old enough to remember the Cuban missile crisis, we recall that the US told the Soviets, in no uncertain terms, that we would not tolerate a military threat 90 miles from our borders. But, its all right for NATO (read US) to surround Russia with troops and missiles. These lunatic, arrogant advisors leading Biden around by the nose need to revisit their history, if they ever did understand it.

"Scholars of the Bible will no doubt note the heroes, sages and prophets of antiquity who were similarly spurned by the very people they came to raise up." She's referring to Trump, the next Biblical patriarch????
Apparently, lunacy has no boundaries.
