<description>I am not advocating vegan at all - you assumed it. Our society does eat too much meat, though - and all the stats show the ill effects on our health. That said, what I do advocate is that if we choose to eat meat, we raise and slaughter it ourselves or hunt. Feedlots and large ranches are not sustainable - the price of meat is artificially low in this country because of subsidies and virtually free grazing allowed on our public lands. Plus, we waste precious water and grains fattening up animals and have enormous manure and urine problems to deal with. It&amp;#039;s insane - this is about a food system problem, not a diet choice.   </description>
