My son is a PPB officer in your fine city. I have taken the time to ride along with him to see for myself the job that he does during his shift. Like what was said earlier, he cannot tell what nationality a person is when it is dark, he is just doing his job by stopping someone who is driving erratically or has a light out, or just plain speeding, like so many do. He is too busy answering calls and checking vehicles for warrants to be profiling anyone. Its just a job to him and he does the best he can with his hands tied. Do some checking and find out how many outstanding warrants are out there for people in Portland, it would surprise you. Its a revolving door, cops bring them in, courts let them out, never to be seen until the traffic cop happens across him during his shift and brings him in for another chance at the revolving door.

I'm proud of my son for the job he does for the people of Portland, I pray every day that he makes it home to his family after his shift.
