Corporate America is VERY sensitive to bad PR. You can also send a message as a shareholder that you are unhappy with certain policies. Both GE and Wal-Mart have direct purchase plans where you can buy stock directly from the company with little or no commisions and for minimun iinitial investment, $250 or so. Another avenue to keep up the pressure
My point really is that GE is more than a corporate entity - it is a LOT of people - AMERICANS - who are working very hard to provide for their families. to produce quality products for your family and mine. I agree MSNBC is propaganda and it is a portion of GE that I do boycott and will continue to pressure GE to change. But I do not feell it is fair to lump all of GE and GE products under the banner of corrupt and to boycott all of GE. Do you really know what all GE does ? If not check the website or read an annual report.
I agree the GM fiasco was sh**, but again is that GM employess or the Obama administration in conjunction with the UAW and money hungry lawyers??
Business always passes cost on the the consumer, that is nothing new. Wal-mart has to make a profit to keep those employees - their profits are not excessive.

GE does a lot more for America than support Cap and trade - if your a GE stockholder use your vote to get rid of the current CEO if you are a consumer write the Company and express your opinion but not buying American doesn't support jobs or local business that sells GE products. GE also is heavy in Medical Products, locomotives, turbines, media - GE is not likely to go the way of the dodo bird but it can evolve - GE's #1 task is to make money - they will sell what people want to buy.
Where is there more info on Wal-Mart and health care? Wal-Mart as the largest retailer in the country is also not going away but the too can and will evilve based on public comment.

I have been very bothered with all the dog and pony show this president has crammed down our throats. Has anyone also noticed most in the media refer to him as Mr. Obama - not President - is that a dig or more likely preparing us for the repeal of 2 terms for a President - Mr Obama - like Mr Chavez - like Mr Castro, you get the picture.
Support the NRA, vote with your wallet, and cover all your bases - somewhere sometime we all will need to be able to be self-sufficient - no more sucking the hind tit of a dead cow as it was aptly put by the "new" Thomas Payne in his latest video.
