Big Hollywood : UPDATE: What the NEA Says Vs. Documented Facts

Wow! This is scary stuff! Thank you Patrick for your courage and your principles. Ben Franklin said "Rebellion against tyranny is obedience to God." We all hear the call. Are we going to stand with Patrick? Or sell our souls to the devil? I myself stand with Patrick!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent through 4/22

I just came over from America's Wish List, where I was reading posts regarding progressive minded teachers indoctrinating our children. I have a 5 year old grandson who goes to Montessori. His single mom works her tail off and makes tremendous sacrifices on her own behalf to put him there. We try to help out as we can. The teachers are paid by the tuition and registration fees for the children. The curriculum is NOT dictated by the government. Hunter (my grandson) and his classmates know how many continents there are, can point them out to you on a globe and tell you what they are by their shape. They make "recycled" maps of the world by tearing paper into the shapes of countries and pasting them together to form the countries, and can tell you the names of those countries if you point to them and ask "what country is that". Remember, I said Hunter is 5. They know the capitals, state birds, and state flowers of some of the US and are learning the others. If you show them an uprooted plant, they can tell you what the root structure is called. They can plant their own vegetables (which they do) and flowers. They understand that every creature and insect play a role in our environment. These 5 year olds can get themselves up and ready for school in the morning, make and pack their own lunches, bathe themselves, brush their own teeth, make their beds and strap themselves into their carseats. There is no refined sugar allowed and most parents support this at home as well. They eat their lunch on real dishes with real flatware and cloth napkins, with a real glass filled with water, beginning their meals with a blessing. Just like adults. After lunch, they pack their leftovers or waste in their lunchboxes, wash their dishes, wash their hands and brush their teeth. Just like adults. They polish silver, clean windows, dust, vaccuum, sweep, water the plants, feed the animals and clean their homes. The can handle the animals without harming them. They have birds, a snake, hamsters, fish. They plant their own vegetables and flowers, and recycle. They are prepared for adulthood, to be responsible, successful and productive in every way. This is how "WE THE PEOPLE" choose to do it. This is what can be accomplished without oppressive government intervention. And get this, Hunter's favorite bedtime reading material is his dictionary, and an animal encyclopedia. He raises butterflies, praying mantis, and ladybugs. At home. And when they are ready, he releases them. How many of us make that kind of a contribution to our environment? He can read the Preamble to the Constitution. I am in the process of teaching him what it means. So in answer to parents who might want to undo the damage inflicted on your children not fortunate enough to be able to get this education outside of your home. May I suggest you start early and reinforce, reinforce, reinforce not only your values, but your beliefs regarding this great country we have the honor to live in, to fight for, and to protect. With Hunter I would explain it like this: Suppose your teacher, as a lesson sends you and your classmates out to collect as many bugs as you can in an hour. It's summer, and it's pretty hot outside. But, the more unharmed bugs you collect, the better your grade. So you go outside and for an hour you hunt and search in the heat and you collect more bugs than your container can hold. Timmy, Ginny, Martha (made up names) and other classmates have decided it's too hot, so they sit at the picnic table in the shade and gather whatever bugs wander over to them. Not many. Time is up. Now Hunter, you bring your bugs to your teacher, along with the couple of other kids who worked really hard to collect as many bugs as possible to get a really great grade! You are so proud because you know you did great! But your teacher looks over at the classmates at the picnic table and sees they have maybe a dozen bugs between them and she says, "O.K. class, some of our students didn't do so well so what we're going to do is put all the bugs into one big container, and divide them all up so each student has the same number of bugs and everyone gets a good grade." How would that make you feel? You'd be amazed the lessons you can teach a five year old and in a way they can understand. Of course, it's not in the "curriculum" in the DOE. So our little lambs will be led by to the slaughter by a government that seeks to control every aspect of our, and their lives. The time for apathy and complacency is over! Save the Constitution, save America... save the children. God Bless America! Gotta go, our tea party is 2 hours away!

1) Term limits for Congress. 2) Congress DOES NOT vote on their own pay and benefits. We do. Each election. We decide if they get a raise or not. And their pay starts at the median rate of their constituents. 3) When they leave office...they are done milking the taxpayers. Retirement after 2, 4, 6, 8 years at their job? How do they sleep at night? In the private sector, when we leave one job, we get a new one. Ditto for elected officials! 4) Flat or fair tax. No deductions. No Credits. No right offs. No IRS. 5) No bill gets signed until the elected officials AND the people have had a chance to read it and understand it. Period. 6) For a BILL to be published for 14 business days PRIOR to being voted on. That way we have time to contact our representatives to let them know how WE feel and what WE want. Government OF the People, FOR the People, BY the People. 7) Every bill should reference the Article of the Constitution that it either enhances or amends. 8) English is our language. Period. Become an American citizen and learn the language. 9) No free rides for ANYONE!!! Most especially those here unlawfully. Come here the right way...or leave. 10) If you think the way they do it in another country is better. Leave. Go there and whine. 11) NO FOREIGN CONTRIBUTIONS TO AMERICAN ELECTIONS!!!!!!!!! 12) Even better, a set spending amount per candidate, per election. No more hundrends of millions of dollars campaigns! What a ridiculous waste of money! (yes I'm angry!)

ABSOLUTELY on your second point!!! My husband and I were just saying that yesterday in the car. They take an oath that begins "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..." but do they even understand the Constitution they were just sworn to uphold and protect? Not their interpretation of it either. And I'm not talking about the Bill of Rights. I'm talking about the document deliberated, drafted and signed by the forefathers of this great United States of America. Amen to point #3 as well!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Mission Statement

So Mr. RichardSylvia, if you don't like the America passed down to us by our forefathers; by all means leave. There are plenty of other places on earth with like-minded persons such as yourself. Others willing to sit around and do as little as possible or nothing at all, waiting for a government handout of the fruits of the labor of others. And don't let Old Glory snap your whiny little ass on the way out! I'm sorry if this came off as bitter, but as a previous soldier in our great military, and a one time, long time single mother of two who did just fine providing for my family; as I stated in the very beginning lazy, "entitled" whiners like you bring out the worst in me. Have a good evening Mr. RichardSylvia....and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Mission Statement

First of all, RichardSylvia, this is not at all about "pre 9/11". It's about the way AMERICA came together and back to our values and principles on September 12, 2001...hence the name "912 Project". Read what we're about before you make anymore comments please (by the way, what ARE you doing here anyway?). Second, this country was founded on very sound, basic principles laid out by our founding forefathers. Read the Constitution of the United States of America to understand what America is all about, and why there is a United States of America. If you don't agree with the principles of the Constitution, and don't support it; well, there are plenty of countries around the world that do not live by any such standard. Maybe you should research it and move to a country where like-minded people such as yourself are the norm and not the miserable exception. Instead of being one of the wasteful, arrogant, inconsiderate, self-indulgent "We here in the US" as you so eloquently put it; why don't you be pro-active and, with all due respect... get the hell out of here (sorry for the language but whiners like you bring out the worst in me). At a small dinner party tonight, we were sitting around the dinner table (with like-minded patriots) discussing exactly what you just stated above. A world without a monetary system. And we were wondering if whiners like you even understand what you "in theory" think this perfect little "world without a monetary system" would actually be like. Here's a little scenario for you: You live in a small neighborhood. Maybe 35, 40 homes. There is no money. You need gas for your car. You can't pay for it. So what will you use to get your gas with? What can you trade for the gas? A service? Maybe you're a plumber and hopefully the gas station has some work that needs to be done. Now imagine 2 doors down from you, your neighbor is in a wheel chair. He has no way to provide for himself. He needs to be cared for and has nothing to offer in exchange for professional in-home care. No way to provide for his basic necessities. But that's o.k. because in your world, the food you are growing in your garden? Because you don't have money to buy food therefore you have to have something you can barter with? Well, by law, you will be required to share what YOU have grown with your family, with your neighbors. That would include the unwed crack addict mom a couple doors down on the other side of you because she's too stupid and strung out to be able to provide for own family. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Eventually, your family with be doing without - or with very little because by law, basically all will go into one "pot" and be distributed equally between all. Before long, guess what? Your neighbor in the wheel chair? He's gone. Dead. Mysterious? Maybe. Inevitable? Probably. And the same end awaits the rest of us (you better get a gun. Oh, but it probably won't do you any good because 'the government" is doing their part to make ammunition unobtainable). But maybe you can waive it around when raiders and looters come to your home. Look formidable. Maybe, (unlikely, but maybe) you will be able to buy another day or two for yourself, your home and your family. It will come down to survival of the strongest. Then you know what we will have RichardSylvia? Anarchy. Tyranny. THE VERY THING our ancestors rebelled against when they came to America. Hammered out a Constitution. Started a country based on a simple principle. Everyone of us leave the gate with the exact same opportunity for the pursuit of happiness and prosperity. What we do with our opportunities is up to us. We have the right to liberty. We have the right to freedom. We DO NOT have the RIGHT to the fruit of OUR NEIGHBOR's labor. If you believe we do, then let charity start at home. Find someone who has nothing. Give them half of everything you have. Practice what you're preaching. Every year we make a concerted effort to give as much as we can, and then some; to some form of charity. How much do you give? As we sat around the table tonight, we wondered how many similar evenings our forefathers had around the table before they revolted against their tyrannical government(s) and came to this continent to start this great United States of America. I can assure you this. Not one of the original settlers of America came here because they wanted to start a country run just like the one they left. No one came here thinking as you do.

Thank you MadmanMatt!!! Why should we be penalized for being "more productive"? You work hard, you make more, you have to pay more? Because we don't work as hard as those making less? Because we require more government assistance? Because we are less charitable than those making less than we do? Because we use the roads more? I am in COMPLETE agreement with you. Can I quote you on my facebook page?
