Please note code is OPEN - and there for USE - The Lab has allowed this to happen - and have taken a "hands off" approach - while spending the time on countless rolling restarts, fixing "high level security leak at backend" with no explanations - and stepping into the "Marketing/Promotion" arenas - they've not cared, and the track record shows they've done the AR/DMCA crap - and it's fruitless - allowing more and more issues to arrive - So your generalization, is totally off the mark. You know - there are ways to regulate this - verification of "bot" usage - like for land stats, and estate tasks for large estates like ours - used for legitimate purposes - not malice. It's been made to be a HUGE deal to set standards, it's not, it's a matter of implementing a system, much like the adult verification - LL quickly set that into motion, and made it possible to verify - this too can happen with 3rd party viewers - "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" comes to mind.

"they want to make all items as PAY - to get the commission" For LL - it's about "cleaning" up the listings - or so they say, but it would seem they want their piece of the pie - that 5% - for ALL items listed on Xstreet. Also .. from what I have gathered - LL is trying to "clean" up Xstreet - and we all know how that will work -

This is a HUGE deal - meaning that any resident on 3rd party viewers or running the older releases will NOT have be able to open/edit notecards. Scripts, vendor notecards for merchants - it's something "not revealed" and very damaging - this is a critical issue - and LL is not releasing the "changes" they've made. They are however recommending (not forcing) the new viewer. Pitiful.

There is a way to fight back and protect what you've created - nothing is "sacred" - and every single time a creator designs, or builds something, there is a risk of it being stolen - one way or another. LL has left open exploits - and as long as creators keep producing - and LL does not close off the HUGE gaps - then it will happen. The Lab seems to finally be opening their eyes, and removing the blinders they've had on for so very long . Stomping your feet and walking off - is the same as handing a 3 year old a sucker in the grocery store crying like a banshee.

I would like to point out - with ALL the spamming, and ALL the pre-hunt rhetoric , a shop/merchant check SHOULD have been done - either it was not done - or it was overlooked - Any hunts my shop has been associated with - a coordinator came, and looked - not only at the quality, but a spot inspection of sorts - and in a few, I know, there were shops just like this one discrovered to be indeed of having DMCA filing qualified items. I DO CARE - and the content creators getting botted;/ripped off care.
