They have also degraded the definitions of these words. I grew up in the 70's, when being a racist or a bigot, was not a word you threw around lightly. The words are describing a person who has hatred in their heart and in their minds. They are not words that should be used haphazardly, as I have seen of late. In using the label of being racist, constantly toward people or a group of people who clearly are not, diminishes the word. Society, will if not already become desensitized to the actual meaning and consequence of the word(s).
