The Chief and his Admin Stafff all need to take a hike....Sounds like that a lot of stuff gets swept under the carpet at the SPD. As for the Sgt. that got a raw deal...he stayed in more trouble that you can only imagine. I know he was given several chances to straighten up his act.
You think the headline is funny....what about the Deputy Chief who has no experience in this sort of Investigation but he will tell you quick that he served in Viet Nam ....everybody has figured out he would have been 13 years old when he served...what a joke.
I to am a LEO and sounds to me like Outside is jealous of something. Kevin will be the best candidate for Sheriff of the ones that are bragging about running and he will defininetly have the LEO support. Come on Outside, t ell us what's up with Kevin and if you prove worthy then maybe Kevin is not the right person but until then my observation is entirely different than that of yours. Were you once a LEO in Rown and now moved out of town for some reason????____
Congratulations to these men who have worked so hard. To bad the 3 veterans that retired and put their 30 years in a piece at the Salisbury Police Department did not get any recognition from the Post or at least the Chief that they worked for.
Good Job to all that have reached retirement at the Sheriff's Office. There have been 3 veteran officers retire from the Salisbury Police Department this year......Wonder why nothing has been mentioned about them???? Probably because the current Chief had no respect for them at all.....All 3 retired with 30 years each in Law Enforcement.
Cook may very well be qualified for this job but I really think that the next elected DA should be home grown just as was Mr. Kenerly...

I really think that the people in Rowan County are going to be really surprised when the SBI investigation is completed.....Must be something there for the local elected District Attorney to turn this Investigation over to the Special Prosecutions of the AG'S Office. Looks to me like the Sheriff is fixing to be called as a witness in a court preceeding....Also sounds like he is wanting to leave town after demanding all of this time so he can get enough time to retire and get his health insurance. I guess if he had not got accidentially locked up in the new jail that was being built and lost his job he would have his time in.
