Since you comment under the name of wyoming_guy, I'll take a chance and guess that you don't live in Ottawa County. As a German Lutheran I take exception to you picking on residents from other areas of my county. Where in the article did it state that the residents of the county were the ones involved in the accidents? These are hardly fair comparisons as it looks like the Kent County numbers are for particular intersections and the Ottawa numbers appear to be for the entire stretch of the road through the county. I agree with someone else who commented about the source of the data. And lets be fair and consider all the issues that contribute to accidents, not just where someone lives and their religious preferences.
Uhhhh, lets see, the top three would be US-131, I-196, and M-40. And Ottawa is so important that it is listed at the bottom of the article.
I have no idea - i just know we sat in Fort Wayne until they could fly in another plane to take us back to GR and we were told there was a problem with the instruments on the landing and the guy at the window seat confirmed that we were not lined up with the runway.
Must be a slow news day. There was a flight last Sunday that had to abort the landing because when it broke through the low ceiling at about 200 feet it was not lined up with the runway. It was not pilot error, the instruments were off. Flight had to divert to Fort Wayne to land safely.
I think that if Meijer had wanted it there it would already be there.
Did the $$ really come from the state coffers or is it an ARRA deal? Was it done just becasue the state had to spend FED $$'s on tranportation issues? Can we get all the facts before writing the story?
Can he find accurate background material and proofread?
What is more true than 14" of snow? So driving in whiteout conditions due to snow falling so heavily last night was just my imagination? Anybody mind if I conjure up a heatwave?
Feel free to go off the grid and provide your own power!
No matter what they would rename it, there would always be someone say "what company?" and someone replying, "you know, the one that used to be General Motors".
