the writer has much knowledge but it comes from the upper levels - the ivory towers? - and not much from where the overwhelming majority live...to still claim that we have a democracy, and showing almost religious reverence for the constitution written by and for those upper levels, reveals both a bias and serious shortcomings..here in the usa more than half a million citizens live in and on the street, more than 13 million children live in poverty, and more than 100 million pets are housed and treated with kindness and comfort..if that is democracy then screaming in pain is poetry.
