I suspect that Obama was picked , literally out of nowhere, to represent the democratic/progressive party for the overwhelming reason that he's black and they can then pull out the race card as an attempt to marginalize their opponents whenever the truth be told by anyone more conservative than themselves. In other words he was probably chosen to run for president in the first place because he is black. Is that not racist in itself?

Obama's gonna get his wish and get rid of all drilling in the gulf after all. They can just call the moratorium and all the rigs will be sent somewhere else to make money (like south America). Like the man said "once they leave, they ain't nevuh comin' back!" Bye bye jobs. Last I hear it would be about 10,000 jobs if you include all the support businesses making a living off the oil company workers, etc. This administration cares about ONE THING... CHANGE. It's kinda like maggots changing a good cut of meat into something rancid.
