<description>yeah thats the one i have been trying and it doesnt seem to work. its hold both buttons for like 12 seconds (when it shuts off and the apple logo starts back up) then release the power button and continue to hold the home button </description>

<description>i have a first generation iphone i am running windows vista on my laptop it all started cause my friend somehow got my phone into recovery mode while we were at work. i dont know how he did it or anything i just know he never plugged it into a computer. he just held both buttons cause he thought thats how you turn it off. </description>
