I'm not sure speeding is the biggest threat to road safety, but it's an easy one to identify and target. Low-hanging fruit. Why do something hard if you can make money doing something easy? I would like to see ALL of the traffic laws enforced more vigorously, especially the oblivious obnoxious drivers who think they're the only ones on the road (yes, that includes you people yakking and texting on your phones while swerving across three lanes of traffic because you just noticed this was your exit).
People have been flying and enjoying R/C (Radio Controlled) aircraft for decades. Now they are being called "drones" and are being subjected to scrutiny by the government because the government also finds them useful. There is some talk of requiring licenses to buy and fly model airplanes. I'm positive anyone with ill-intent would comply (April Fools). Big Government, please pay attention to important things and stay out of our lives - that includes keeping your drones away from my airspace.

Nope, we're not losing or gaining anything, we're just messing with the clocks. Daylight "Savings" Time might have been a reasonable idea before electric lights, but now it's just stupid and annoying.
You're not helping here either by saying it's "Greek" to kids. Greek is a different language with different symbols, and you have to know a bunch of those too if you want to make any headway in math and science. Roman numerals are not Greek. Like all languages, these are just symbols that we assign meaning too. They are still used extensively so people can learn them or remain ignorant. It's a choice.
