Doesn't matter, because I will just pass this year anyway, but sports games that release yearly have to have some type of gimmick to get people interested. Madden did a great job last year, but they still have so much to work on, and it feels like you are getting an unfinished product. I guess since I've played Madden more this year with the addition of Online Franchise I've seen the animations so much that they have become repetitive, but I think it would bother me to the point that I would rather just play Madden. I enjoyed some of the NFL streets, and the demo of NFL tour, but this just doesn't really do much for me. Maybe after I try the demo I will feel differently. Also, Backbreaker is the first game these people have ever created, and there still has been no footage of 11 on 11 gameplay in action. It is going to be hard for them to make a better game on their first try when Madden has had years of work, even if it is still a flawed game. APF also has some quirks and I can see why some people might not like it but to this day I have not played a better representation of football. Backbreaker will not compete with Madden without NFL licensing. The best to hope for is that it is good enough that it catches Madden's attention.
