Stanwood goes all of the way past Lake Goodwin going south. We, the folk out here in Stanwood have no crosswalks, no light streets, no sidewalks and no bike lanes. From Warm Beach to Lake Goodwin we got 1 state park "Wenberg" and 1 Brand New County Park by the Lake Goodwin store, we've also got Kayak State Park as well off Marine View Drive. I've talked to county several times about the fact we don't have side walks and bike lanes, and lit streets around Lake Goodwin yet they are presently widening the road from the turn off from Lakewood Rd (at East Lake Goodwin Rd) to the Frank Waters Cut off. How much you want to bet that we still wont have bikes lanes, sidewalks or lit streets! All of the moneys are spent south and not up here in Stanwood!!! Larrabee State Park had its beginnings in 1915, when the Larrabee family donated 20 acres of land to the state with the intent that it be made into a park. In 1923, the new park was officially named after Charles Xavier Larrabee. I BET THE LARRABEE FAMILY IS ROLLING OVER IN THIER GRAVE! How sad! THIS IS WENBERG STATE PARK LOCATED ON LAKE GOODWIN! The county did the same thing to the old Leonards Tavern on Lake Goodwin. The county repod the land for taxes, placing the figure beyond any one elses affordability. Its now the new Lake Goodwin County Park. Now we have a state park and a county park. This state is so corrupt! Its hard to fathom!
