It all comes down to who has the stronger facts. It does not matter if i "win" or lose this debate because in God's eyes i have won and i am not the one going to hell. First off God LETS us make our choices, however he could still choose to do whatever he wants. Although we have the freedom of our own free will, we have no power or control of much. He is almighty. I believe it is true that God does not need control because in the end on Judgment day it will not matter. Also it is true that all you need if for you to have God in the "hub" of your life. But it is also important to honor God to the best of our ability and just because Jesus died to cleanse us of our sins does not mean we can shout for joy and all of a sudden pick up the drinks and start sinning willingly right and left. Humankind did not make God's rules either. They were given to Moses by God in the form of the 10 Commandments. He also wants us to be happy as you said. For he does have a sense of humor. God is however a Noun. And it does please God when we give to the poor to help those less fortunate than us. If you really BELIEVE in God i suggest you turn around your thoughts if you are to be saved.
