I do keep forgetting how numerous are Muslims in the UK. On this side of the sea, they do not comprise a significant voting block outside a couple of cities -- nothing on the national scale. We have our share of appeaser politicians and Religion-of-Peace apologists, of course, but Muslims simply do not constitute a political force here -- yet.

The Obamessiah is thought by his accolytes and, tragically for the rest of us, by himself to be above the rule of law. His administration is also currently bullying the poor and little constitutional republic of Honduras for acting within its laws and constitutional provisions and removing the leftist autocrat Zeleya (sp?) from the country's presidency. The Obamites want the provisional -- fully legal -- government in Honduras to "negotiate" with the deposed tyrant. As King Oba is on record to opine that the U.S. constitution is not adequate to accomplish his dream of marxifying the nation, I doubt he will soon show any significant respect for the laws and governing documents of others. I swear, I did personally what I could -- within the rule of law -- to obstruct and prevent his ascendancy, but sadly, I failed. As an American citizen with several decades of patriotic experience and practice, I apologize for the boorish and ignorant, criminally inclined, ways of our current chief executor.

With reference to the remainder of that paragraph, "the Jihadists," in fact, hate our constitutional principles and hate and despise us for holding them, not because we "abandoned" them. "Islamic theology is very strong on" SUBMISSION, not freedom, democracy, and equality before the law. Those political and social concepts are entirely absent from the teachings of Mohammed and from all islamic juridicial interpretations of those teachings for 1350 years. NO Muslim-majority nation does now or ever did practice those political ideals. Was your comment an attempt at sarcasm or irony? Those qualities did not come through.

Felix: I applaud your writing to your local paper and speaking out on these important issues. I'd like to suggest that, just as you think yourself to be somewhat alone in your views, somewhere reading that paper is one just like you (and me and many others here), thinking she's alone in her opinions. Your letter to the editor or other writing lets her know she's not. I imagine you have noticed by now, the ones calling us "racists" and "islamophobes" generally have no other argument. Name-calling represents just about the totality of their "thinking" on the subject.
