Well, my ex IS Bipolar. Along with suffering from Major Depressive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and so on. She refuses to seek treatment for her disorders and continuously emotionally harms our 2 boys. However, the Benton County DHS office have decided to award her our children for "Ease and convenience" of monitoring. The Benton County DHS office refuses to listen to anyone, including her own family (Mother, Father, ect) that she is a threat to our children.
No doubt this has to do with the fact, in my opinion, that the director of this office grew up with the family and is still friends with her family. They have conducted their own internal investigation (ie. asked her if this was true) and concluded they are no longer friends. However, they refuse to look at the emails I have and pictures.
No doubt this heavily influenced the Benton County Sheriff's office when conducting their investigation of our then 8 month old sons broken arm that required surgery and 2 pins to set. It's a day that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Long story short(er).....If you know someone with a mental illness learn from my mistake and never go to DHS seeking help. Especially if that office has ties with and are friends with the person in question.
I find it sad a womans night of terror has been turned in to a verbal racial war through comments. Regardless of that........I say Red, Black, White or Blue: it doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, East coast or West coast, if you use a knife you get the knife. Cut it off!!!
A picture of the woman they're looking for would be helpfull in finding her. I just have a feeling there's a mug-shot out there somewhere.
Child endangerment and wreckless driving would have topped my list of charges. Furthermore, where's the Mother? Was the child released to her or the state? Or, was it even his child?
Children need to be taught lessons from time to time and the degree of the lesson depends on how severe the offense is. When I was 10 I got into an argument with my Father over doing the dishes. I told him I was running away. He said he'd pack my bags for me and I can continue watching tv while he packed it for me. About 15 minutes later he came out with a suitcase for me and said I could leave if I wanted or I can stay. But, if I stayed I needed to abide by the rules of the house. I got to the end of the driveway, turned around and came back. Years later he told me he packed that suitcase full of every heavy book we had in the house. We had a lot of books. Long story short, I went home, took my butt chewing and n ever ran away again. Think DHS would allow something like that today? Doubt it.

I know too well what you mean. They were upset I left my eldest son alone when I ran to town. I lived in the country and it's called country living. However, to be honest with you, with everything DHS has done to me and my boys I never could figure out why they were doing what they were doing until I found out the director was friends with my exwifes family thaks to FB. Copied and pasted everyting and sent it to my attorney and state rep. Both are outraged and we'll see where it goes after the new year. I don't know why DHS doesnt seem to think children need to learn resposibility?
