It would be interesting to see how many Demorcats, suppoprt Otter as well, having "just over a dozen" really isn't that much when you consider the state as a whole, remember a dozen is only 12.. Once again showing how Allred plays in the gray..
Shred all the mail you want. ID theives are not "dumpster diving". They are sitting in the security of their homes, hacking into data bases, getting thousands of peoples info. SSN, Birthdates, maiden names, schools you've attended, medical info. Yet all the while, you are left holding the bag. Even worse. the companies that are compromised, are only required to notifiy you that a breach has taken place and for you to watch your personal info. I did a segment on KIDK with Steve Cannon on " Eye on Idaho" about this very thing. So don't think that because you shread your mail that you are safe, it's a false sense of security..
So this info that I have sitting right in front of me is incorrect?
Three years ago, only 26% of Idaho's schools met our state academic goals. Today 62% of Idaho schools are now reaching our high academic goals.
Idaho has been a national leader over the past two years in the increase in the number of schools reaching the high academic goals we have set for them.
In math we are also seeing impressive results. Today, only eight states are preforming better than Idaho's 8th graders in mathamatics, as measured by a national math assessment.
We have seen a 15% increase in the number of college credits earned by high school students in just one years as a result of the IEN.
Olsen has a PHD, yet he retained his pay of $175.000, the same time that teacher took a reduction in pay, as well as called a special board meeting in the Boise school district to have them vote to give him a $25,000 severance package on top of his salary. Do the math, he made $200.000 the same year that the state received less funding. Read the article in the Idaho Statesman March 2010. Luna on the other hand went to the state and told them to reduce his pay by the same 4% decrease that the teachers were getting. You guys are so focused on getting Luna out, that you don't look at what you are replacing him with. Yet all you do is focus on the fact that Luna got his deree from an on line collage, you won't talk about how Idaho has moved up from being 48th in the nation to being in the top ten, you won't talk about how Gov Otter's Adm has set aside $50 mil, towards education for over the past 4 years. All you do is comment on the on line collage issue, pretty weak attack. Olsen being a teacher himself should have been the first one to reduce his salary, not give himself a severance package of $25.000. while retaining his pay.
Look I get it, since you cannot dispute what I have provided. You attack the messenger, that's fine. I'm cool with that. Sorry I'm lacking on the spelling part. I was just responding to what is being discussed here.
This is where Olsen and Allred need to do their homwork, according to the National Archive Registery, this is not the first time that cuts to education have taken place within the state of Idaho. According to their records, Idaho did make cuts to education back in 1947-48, and again from 1949-1950. What they ( Olsen and Allerd) are playing on, is the emotions of the schools. What is Allreds answers? What is he proposing to do? After reviewing his site, their is NOTHING showing what he has in plan for the schools.
Twice in the interview he was asked what experience that he has to be ID Governor, all he did was talk about his web site and his track record, well... what is that track record? His campaign ad goes after Otter for the budget cuts, yet Idaho Constitution says that the Idaho government has to balance it's budget. You would be screaming had the current ID government, allowed for more spending, going into debt, and expenses for government workers. A good sign of a Governor that understands what is to be done, is one that is not afraid to do the unpopular thing.
Really Jennifer, you're going to play the religion card in this matter? I was reading the comments, and many times you resort to this area being highly religious, like that should excuse your actions. Look I would understand it, had this been your only offence, yet you were caught not once, not twice, three, yes, three times under the influence. You had choices to make, you could have called a friend, asked the bar tender, to call you a cab, if you were at a bar. But you chose to get behind the wheel of a car and drive while impaired.
And NOW you are complaining that you can't get a job. Did you loose your job, due to your drinking? The bottom line is that their are consequences to the choices that you made. Perhaps Dr. Phil would have you on his show to discuss this with you.
I drive Holmes every day, I've NEVER seen the traffic backed up all the way from 17th to John Adams. Look the city did extensive research on this, their were studies done. Do you also complain about 1st street as well? it's one lane from where it splits off Lomax heading west and two lanes heading east from Holmes with a center turn lane.
Sadly this is more common than most people realize, and like the police said, it's a slim chance that they will catch the scammer.. goes to show that things are not always what they seem. Identity theft is yet another concern, the question is what will you do, when it happens to you?
