While the new one will come and if it isn't any good, will go. With his talent I don't think the guy will mess it up. But if it's bad it will not taint the old one, and we can simply ignore it ever happened. They're obviously going to remake it eventually, I wouldn't mind seeing what this guy can do. He's shown he's talented. I'd rather see a talented director from another genre try and emerge himself into another genre.
