I believe all the comments by BP supporters simply repeated what they said before, well before, the election.
You are the guy saying these are excuses.
The principal aim of UKIP was to force a referendum. That of TBP is to force the Tories to deliver it's result, a real Brexit, which seems to be going very well so far. Once that is achieved we will look at domestic policy, including democracy and electoral systems.

Sad that TBP did not win but a revolution all the same and take a look at the latest GE opinion polls.
If revolutions were won at the first battle there would be more of them.

I do dislike this pretence that we had a referendum on PR. In fact what was on the ballot was the worst possible alternative to FPTP that could be found.
Politicians do have this habit of either before or after referendums, of rigging or misinterpreting the result. Just as they are doing now by assuming that no one read all those mad claims by Remain during the campaign, in order to pretend we did not know what we were voting for.

Access to the elector register will tell you who has postal votes and where they live. Wards are often counted separately. It's quite possible to work out which ones voted for each party.

No excuses are needed. We have always said that the entrenched big two would be hard to break through, Labour started campaigning before we even existed. Sure it's a shame we did not get over the line but this result, together with those from the last 4 democratic exercises and the latest GE polls , will do very nicely thanks.
Who do you think has more influence over the Conservative party right now, their own grassroots or TBP ?

So given that TBP got many more votes than the Conservatives, it was in fact their supporters who let in Corbyn's woman by not shifting to Nigel's party.

Those of us who support smaller ( and these days new larger) parties have for years been explaining why FPTP is not democratic. Naturally the big parties find endless excuses to keep a system that protects them so much.
The boot is now firmly on the other foot. There are now quite a few Conservatives advocating PR, indeed if present trends continue it may be their best chance of survival. Be assured that TBP is very likely to support such a change, along with a different type of elected second chamber to replace HOL.

Wow, do some of you here seriously believe TBP will go into another domestic election without policy positions on the most important issues that concern the public. Do you think coming a poor third in P'borough somehow presents the Conservatives as the best alternative to Corbyn or that TBP's strong lead in the latest opinion polls will disappear by magic ? Must be very deeply Tribal Tories if you do.

No one in TBP has proposed to privatise the NHS. Even if Nigel came anywhere close to trying to make it policy he would lose most of his supporters. What he did say is that private enterprise could do some things better that the present state offering.

I live close to Peterborough, it has a strong red hat on a donkey tribal loyalty, proof is in who they have elected the last couple of times. Look at the poll figures from Tockwith above. This was certainly a vote Tory get Corbyn seat.

Coupled with the last few democratic exercises, Referendum. GE, locals, Euros and now Peterborough the trend is obvious. Leavers did warn that we would give May a chance but if Brexit was not delivered we would be back.
Do you see us now, are you finally listening ? Personally I doubt it, I honestly believe you are simply incapable of understanding anything other than your own spin and propaganda. Good luck with the new leader, I'm afraid you are going to need it.
