on behalf of Brian:
Iridient works great with the Leica monochrome models too. Monochrome specific sensors do not require any RAW interpolation (or "demosaic") so that strength of Iridient software would not be applicable. Same would obviously go for color profiles and color processing, but everything else is applicable including all the great sharpening methods, flexible RAW and LAB Lightness/RGB tone curve adjustments, clarity adjustments, mono toning/split toning, etc.
Best regards,
Brian Griffith

thank you for the kind words. I also followed you back on Flickr: nice B&W!
Sure, these small cameras are all great even if so different. For it's lowlight capabilities, autofocus, lens and dynamic range I believe the Sony is really a good synthesis of the previous ones. Unless there is the need of anything above 50mm, where I use the DP3m or an A7R+70-200Adpted Canon, I think I'm done for some good years!

thank you for your feedback. The good thing, in the scenario you're depicting, is that you may tilt the display and actually see what you're framing.
Other great thing: autofocus is way better then the GR, so you'll love the improvements

Please note that the procedure adopted in this comparison is the same that DPReview adopts with ACR. In this case, true, there are some chromatic haloes. But, if you simply "enable transverse chromatic aberration" the haloes disappear.

So, for acr and Iridient all default, sharpening Off, creating tiff, apply USM in Photoshop.
Regarding the preview: what you see in preview is a low res jpg version embedded in the raw file. So no surprises the previews are generally soft. Have a look here http://www.fujirumors.com/raw-for-jpeg-shooters/.
