--i sweat it when i know i'm settling for counterfeit because it's easier instead of pressing on/waiting for god's best. --i sweat it when i see a friend struggling w/ an addiction and there's absolutely nothing i can do except pray. sometimes, that doesn't feel like enough. --i sweat it when i can't find my moleskine because the real me's in there, not the me i want others to see. --i sweat it when i reach for my little anxiety meds because i wish i didn't sweat. --i sweat it when i forget god is bigger than things like abuse, sex trade and slavery even thought the statistics seem insurmountable and overwhelming.

The Easter Bunny scared the hell out of me too, probably because I had no positive point of reference concerning rabbits. A friend's pet rabbit bit me when I was a kid so a giant one, with big buck teeth and pitch black eyes always seemed sinister. I may need therapy if/when I have kids and have to do the whole bunny thing.

My .02 (sorry if this is a repeat of what anyone else has said -- I stopped reading comments around the 20th or so one): anyone who works in ministry is a moving target for the enemy, from the seemingly unimportant mailroom clerk to the lead pastor. The warfare that goes on is hella ridiculous so it just makes sense to take the precautions you're taking. As your wife said, the consequences are just too great. Perhaps I'm jaded, but I just got out of a ministry meeting today and, while I won't discuss specifics, Shaun's (and other pastor's) "rules" may see excessive to some but from the inside looking out, it's a different story. Accountability and transparency are where it's at.
