Big Hollywood : BOOK REVIEW: Greg Gutfeld's 'Bible of Unspeakable Truths'

Did they really use the term "forward" on the cover? That would be a serious mistake. They'd look ridiculous. But from what I can see in the picture, they used the term "Foreword," which would be correct. I know how you feel, Leigh. As a writer, I'm a great editor.

Big Journalism : D.C. Metro Police Escorted SEIU Protesters to Bank Of America Executive's Home

It should be pointed out that Bank of America repaid the $45-billion TARP assistance on December 9, 2009. Surely, SEIU President Mary Kay Henry is aware of that fact, although her mouth may be so stuffed with carpet that she hasn't managed to get the word out to all her local thugs. Can you imagine the media uproar if this had been a Tea Party protest at someone's private residence? Can't you just see Rachel Maddow spewing her Rachel Bias and her Maddow Disease all over it? I wonder if she's ever known Mary Kay Henry.

Breitbart.com : Black conservative tea party backers take heat

The black Democrats ask these black conservatives, "How can you not support a brother?" How could these black Democrats not support Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, or Clarence Thomas? How can they not support, admire and follow America's greatest living intellectual, Thomas Sowell - who is black? The Democrats have perfected the use of racism for political gain, and it's nothing new. They've used racism for two centuries. When the Democrats were the party of slavery, secession, segregation, and the KKK, they used white racism. Now they encourage black racism. It's a big charade, a divide-and-rule policy that results in everyone paying more taxes and having less freedom.

Breitbart.com : Obama effigy hung at RI school with fired teachers

This story is not about why people oppose Obama's policies. It's about why people are forbidden to criticize Obama, for fear of being called racists - even though they were absolutely encouraged to slam, harass, shame, and defame Bush by all means - including burning him in effigy, making movies about his assassination and publishing drawings of him as a monkey. People who care about democracy and freedom should be worried if such cheap and transparent tricks work to intimidate dissenters. And if you really believe that Obama is simply continuing the policies of Bush, you should be objecting as loudly as I am to these attempts to silence all opposition to his policies.

OK. For the sake of argument, let's say he's "black" - though we don't really know anything about this guy, not where he was born, not what he did in college, not what he wrote in law school, not who his real father might be. But let's go ahead and say he's "black" - though his mother seemed to be white. But we'll just say he's "black". OK. SO WHAT? He's the most unprepared President in our entire history, and the most overreaching. His eyes are bigger than his stomach, which is bigger than his brain. He's a chain-smoker who can't even take charge of his own health, and damn if he doesn't want to take charge of MINE. He never opens his mouth but to read a scripted lie. But, he is "black". So.. he must be a terrible embarrassment to other black people, fine deserving black people like Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, and so damned many others. And I will criticize this Soros sock-puppet as ruthlessly as the red left ever criticized Ronald Reagan or George Bush. I will teach them what real criticism looks like. Just keep watching.

Big Journalism : Is Patriotism Dangerous? Publicly Funded NPR Wants You To Think So

Patriotism is dangerous to the New World Order crowd. That's why they've been flooding the United States and every country in Europe with hostile immigrants - to drown patriotism, to make it a hate crime, to make it illegal even to be American, or British, or French or Dutch. Only patriotism stands in the way of the international banksters' One World Government. That's why patriotism must be crushed.

If they'd hung a Bush doll upside-down, or a Cheney doll, or a Reagan doll - there would be no problem. No apologies necessary. Free speech all the way, man - and burn an American flag while you're at it. But don't dare criticize Obama, because that's hate, that's racism, that's not tolerated. These sleazy socialists are trying to raise this clown above criticism, above the Constitution, and it's just wrong. Everyone should go out of their way every single day to criticize Obama as harshly as possible, with every sort of effigy, caricature, cartoon and joke that's ever been used against any other President - just to assert our freedom of speech, which is being crushed by left-wing censorship dressed up as political correctness.

Breitbart.com : Vatican fights to distance Pope from abuse scandals

I view the Church itself as a victim of these pedophiles - who will go wherever the children are. I think honest people, without an axe to grind, will want the Church to take all necessary steps to drive the pedophiles out of the clergy, and to make sure such cases are, in the future, referred immediately to the police. And I would advise other institutions which have been invaded by pedophiles to do the same. Keep in mind, these days in the United States, the typical child molester is NOT a celibate Catholic priest, but a young, hip, swinging female public highschool teacher.

I do find it a bit annoying that the same people who insist that we be oh-so-careful not to accuse all Muslims of being terrorists - even though almost all terrorists today are Muslims, and even though Islam itself commands that all non-Muslims be subdued by force - have no problem condemning the entire Catholic Church, and Christianity as such, for the actions of a few pedophiles who managed to infest the clergy - as they have infested public school faculties, the medical profession, the scouts, and a whole number of other professions. And worse: when the Church takes steps to eliminate such people from the clergy, these same critics accuse the Church of bigotry, homophobia, and hate. It's a no-win situation designed to destroy the Church, I'm afraid.

I know that in very many cases, the Church has been held liable for damages. I'm not sure that has always been fair, but it's a fact. That should answer your specific question. Also, I don't have the specifics, but I seem to recall a couple cases where Church higher-ups were even subjected to criminal prosecution for covering up such incidents. Without knowing the specifics of the cases, I would say, in general, that such criminal prosecutions are entirely proper, if the higher-ups did, in fact, aid and abet the misconduct. But the fact is that neither Christian doctrine nor Canon Law nor any rule of the Church has ever condoned this sort of sexual misconduct. Quite the opposite, actually. It's true that in many cases Church higher-ups, including some bishops, did try to sweep complaints under the rug, because they wanted to avoid scandal. This was obviously the wrong course. And for that, the Church - as an institution - has had to pay out millions and millions of dollars, even bankrupting some dioceses.

All child abusers, rapists, statutory rapists, and all those who aid and abet their crimes, should be prosecuted and punished, surely and swiftly. The victims should not waste their time going to the superior of the perpetrator. They should go directly to the police and report the incident. It does not matter whether the perpetrator is a priest, a doctor, or a public school teacher. That being said, the fact that a priest might commit some crime does not in the least impugn the truth of salvation, Christian doctrine, or the authority of the Church - any more than the crimes of doctors impugn the validity of medical science, or the crimes of teachers diminish the value of education, or the lies of scientists impeach the truths of science, or the plagiarism of journalists diminish the need for journalism.
