<description>redsn0w and ultrasn0w made us use 3.0 os on 3g and 2g jailbreak and unlocked, and it maded the people with 2.2.1 get unlocked so it helped alot of people (the alot part), Everybody that owns a 3GS now (the few part) the people that will have 3.0.1 on 3G and 2G and the people with a 3GS (the alot part that is refered above) </description>

<description>ok I have a 2G inactive iPhone, and I want to update it to 3.0 os. Can I restore the iphone and in the restore updates folder add the new 3.0 os file and update that way. </description>

<description>yes you can just backup before you go, if you are doing a upgrade they will not care that you jailbreaked your iphone, but may void warranty, just restore.    bytheway what are you going to do with your old iphone (is it a 3g or 2g, 8gb or 16gb) </description>
