Hi again, Im here all over again with a different 3gs which is back on 4.1 bb 6.15.00

*My intention is to upgrade again to 5.1.1 preserving the baseband and unlock.*

I was successful doing this before but this Iphone I now have has a non working power button so cant do the DFU thing.
I see the 'DFU IPSW' for my situation is there a tutorial that can show me how to do this step by step including the upgrade while preserving baseband?
Also i upgraded preserving bb using sn0wbreeze last time is it possible to do it again with a broken power button?

its worked finally lol if i could kiss you I would. Iv been stuck on 4.1 forever its such a relief to be on 5.1.1
I am just restoring from back up now then il need to Jailbreak and install ultrasn0w for my unlock! ya dont undertstand how much i appreciate u guys!

Hey guys i have a question...
Im wanting to upgrade my unlocked iphone 3gs from 4.1 to 5.1.1
When i try to create the NO_BB ipsw using the latest redsn0w it crashes and says 'memory exhausted' but my memory is fine so i dont get that issue.
Anyways i have done the 'preserve baseband' method using the latest sn0wbreeze which has created an ipsw on my desktop for me but its not like redsn0ws NO_BB this one is titled 'Sn0wbreeze....ipsw'.
Can i use this in Redsn0w or is it best to try upgrade using the sn0wbreeze method.

hey iv done everything right yet im still on the 6.15.00 baseband.

all my sources are still installed including ultrasn0w have i missed something.

I followed the tutorial on iClarified

Hey Guys

I have a 3gs which i unlocked previously using the ipad baseband 6.15.00
Model No. MC131B
Serial No. 880166***** which im guessing is a fixed bootrom because the 3rd digit of the serial is not 9.

My question is can i downgrade to the Firmware given?
If yes, can i then upgrade iOS to 5.1.1?
Iv been stuck on 4.1 forever and it sadens me that i cant get apps such as iplayer etc

hI IV JUST TRIED TO GO BACK TO 4.1 and im getting an error in tunes... 1501
why is it not restoring properly! It was fine before i tried the upgrade to 5.1.1
Do i use Redsn0w then itunes to restore without errors?
I now have the itunes logo.
