Exploring Vaccines : Flu and Vaccines- The Impact on a Fetus

It does appear to be a slippery slope. Get the vaccine and take the risks, or take a chance on getting the flu and take a risk...:S

Exploring Vaccines : 5 day trial in Swine Flu Vaccine

Shakes my head in disgusto.0 The vaccine given to the American public in the 1970's was a different vaccine than the one tested. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9mh9f_swine-flu...

Exploring Vaccines : Pharma and Gov\'ts hiding behind the SBS label

I Agree. How many test for vitamin deficiencies (such as C and K)? And from what I have read/heard, even most autopsies are inaccurate due to NOT knowing what to look for and much is based on assumption. SIDS rates have been touted as 'dropping in numbers' due to the back to sleep campaign, yet what seems to have taken its place? SBS due to parents or caregivers. I don't buy it. I'd like to see the years SBS started increasing alongside the vaccine schedule changes/increases.

Always comes down to more $ doesn't it?!?! The other interesting thing I note is that nearly always, it is Ped's who gripe about the money or 'lack of it'. Give me a break:@

IA. Finally the warnings came out about using cough/cold medicines. The same needs to be done with fever reducers.

Exploring Vaccines : Do Fever Reducers Actually Hurt More Than They Help?

I disagree..the body generally knows how high to go/how high it needs to go to fight the infection and not cause damage. My own son once had a 104.5 and we never used a fever reducer. He is not brain damaged in any way. If fevers are left to do their job, recovery is usually quicker as well.

I agree. Anything above 104 is more cause for concern. But giving fever reducers for temps below that is usually unneccesary.
