Laws not only need to be stricter for those on bikes, but those in crosswalks. My dad was hit in a crosswalk a couple of years ago. The driver stopped at a stop sign, looked left for cars, not right where the crosswalk and my dad was. They had to revive him as he had no vitals. He did live. For 6 months. The driver? A $151.00 ticket. Failure to yield to a pedestrian. The fines for hitting someone are almost lower than not wearing a seat belt. Accidents do happen, but when it is your fault and negligence, the only one who pays is the victim and their family. They don't even have to show up for court. Just send the money in.
They pay very little, but the ones that get the most credit apps get the highest hourly salary, plus $2.00 per credit app. So the the pushies and most obnoxious employees are the higest paid. It also contributes to more credit problems when people can't pay their new credit card off.
