Ok so here's the deal, I'm not interested in the unlock anyhow, so I downloaded the latest Pwnage for my iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 for jailbreak only. I followed the instructions and downloaded the appropriate ipsw. Pwnage cranked out a new custom file and reported all systems go so I launched iTunes and restored using the custom. All was well at first but then the shit hit the fan.

I could see the pineapple logo as it was restoring, but then iTunes suddenly objected saying that the restore procedure could not be finished because some obscure "unknown failure" had occurred. I tried a few times more but it wouldn't accept any restore, so I had to use the factory restore. So what's this faggottery ? ^^
