The people at Penney's, like Sear's and many other retailers, can't seem to decide who are their targeted customers because this move will turn off the people who actually shop at Penney's and there's not a snowball's chance in h*ll, the cool crowd will patronize their emporia no matter what media darling they choose for their spokesperson.

Some of the scenes in the "Raiders of the Lost Archives" are definitely from the early Johnny Wiessmuller Tarzan series which was recently on TMC. They held up marvelously and we enjoyed them a lot. Too bad there were so few of them. Kudos to the people who put the video together.

Bright House cable dropped Starz which has a new show, Boss, with Gelsey Grammer, we like, but won't pay another cent to our already weighty entertainment costs to get it. Starz website doesn't allow online viewing, so who do they think is watching what, if on a more accessible venue, could be a megahit. Ditto HBO. We liked a couple of their shows too and watched when they were offered as part of our regular cable package. Now I notice "Boardwalk" is being cancelled. Too bad. Although it wasn't perfect, we were sorry when it was no longer part of our cable package.

It seems every movie has Matt Damon, George Clooney or Leonardo DiCaprio starring with the occasional Brad Pitt thrown in. On the distaff side, there's Meryl Street and ... . All are on my 'won't see' list whether in theaters or on video. Perhaps our numbers have grown to such an extent, it's starting to show up in their statistics. Be nice if that were actually the case.
