Patriot Missive : Did you get the "Obama is an evil Muslim" email too?

Even though this was written 40 weeks ago... I don't mind being way freaking late to say Wahhabism is not akin to Kabbalah. Kabbalah is akin to Sufism (Islamic Mysticism) and Wahabiis are akin to the Arian Nations- A bunch of racism misogynistic jerk off idiots. I do however agree with the rest of what ya say... it's quite troublesome to see people who think Allah is some weird Arab God. But whatever... as someone once told me (while defending me from some jerk off who wanted to shank me for being a Muslim) "You just can't argue with stupid" I gave up on most of the racist bigots a while ago. However.. evidently I still post on subjects so old they've collected cob webs. Also, Muslims believe in Jesus, the virgin birth and Mary, and John the baptist. Oh well. That email really did suck, and he's a Christian.. or he's been planning this for 20 years when he joined the church. Madrassa means school not fundo school... it just means school. Peace, erica

Patriot Missive : Sarah Palin coming out the wazoo

What there's a hurricane? Is that the drink E40 talks about? Haha. Ya, a favorite blog of mine tracelesswarrior.blogspot.com points out that it's a way of using smoke and mirrors to distract from the issues. We're too busy focusing on the Republican runningmate to even focus on the issue and McCains's platform.. or if he's been changing up on issues since his last run for office.

Patriot Missive : The feminists have spoken

Wow... good article. Did you see her interview with Charles Gibson? Oh mi goodness. Also what's up with the road to no-where in addition to the infamous bridge to... Even if I was ready to look past her anti-choice opinions and other areas wherein we disagree... her lack of experience and random projects seem a bit misplaced. But I hear you can see Russia from parts of Alaska. I can see doctors from my job at the ER triage/front desk... it's like I practically have surgical experience.

Patriot Missive : Watch your back: FBI approved more freedom

Hmmm. I respect the need to keep an eye out and check out trouble and possible threats... but isn't it important to have probable cause or identify one's self. People who say, "If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't worry" obviously have never worried about their slowly eroding freedoms, or have never been someone who might be in a profilable group. At the same time... oh well, they probably already did it anyways.

Patriot Missive : Biden says Clinton might’ve been a better choice

Interesting theory.. I'm not placing any bets (I heard it's haram anyways- haha.. well bets for money) BUT I like this theory... it would totally be the cherry on my sundae... Oh please Biden... perhaps he needs to take time off for his family. Maybe he's busy learning macrame at the local community college and is really dedicated to learning. Hmmm... it's a long shot.

Patriot Missive : Arab brotherhood? Only when it's convenient

hmmm, well to me it's a fallacy to equate Islam with Arabs... Since Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim country (with a female President in it's somewhat troubled history.. ok quite troubled history) maybe we should all be compared to Indonesians... er maybe not. None the less, I just wish people would realize that it's a religion not a race or location.. present company excluded... I am not at all referring to you. Perhaps this is why I choose to wear a more traditional hijab as opposed to a head covering of any kind. I like to challenge stereotypes. Arabs: Muslims Texans:Christians sure, many Texans are Christians... but there's more to Christians than that right? Yes, Muhammad was an Arab... and the rest of the Prophets were Jews.. so... now what do we do? Simplification really does not do this situation justice. The Jordan situation, however, is always quite complicated. One of my favorite blogs is from a family who used to reside in Baghdad. They are privileged in Amman because the father is Jordanian... well Palestinian Jordanian. The mother's a Shiite Iraqi Muslim, the dad's a Sunni, the kids are in between (a secularist, a reformist and a more religious guy). I bet their viewpoint would be interesting (and they are all allowed to work and go to school, etc there because they are now citizens too). Besides, although I believe in the idea of Muslim Sisterhood (only marginally care about brotherhood) Arab Nationalism and the Arabist movement are on their way out the door anyways.
