I fell in love with London the first time i was there and i couldn't help but notice the football culture. Here i was finally in England, home to The Smiths, The Clash, Oasis, The Pistols, etc. When i finally started going down to the pub here in Manhattan on Saturday mornings, i just gravitated towards those like-minded fellas and they were all Hammers. A mix of Yanks, Expats, Aussies, Germans... They pulled me in. It was a perfect fit. I've had a lot of history to catch up on. That was 8 years ago. I try to make it to at least one match a year. I just saw Millwall at home. What a great experience having a mosey around the East End so early in the morning. Hiding my beer like i was back in high school! I really wish i could go every weekend. Nothing like actually being at UP for the game. I love it. Hammers supporters really are the best in the world.
