I'm gonna start by telling you I'm an american citizen, but I wasn't born here. And I am poor. This country had a government until 1913 without income tax. Only on war time there was a temporal income tax before 1913. This country became the #1 power in the world without income tax.What you are saying is in contradiction with real historical events. Government can lease or sale land if it has any... it can tax the property you own, if you don't like it, you can leave in your own island in the pacific and still do your business here. Government can tax your consumption. You can go somewhere else to buy what you need. But for sure a country without income tax is gonna have the best products and services in the world. Let me see if I can enlighten you with an example: if someone makes $100M and doesn't wanna consume that money in a mansion and a yacht, and wanna put it back into business.... why should you tax it? The government gluttony and immorality wanting to tax the $100M will generate less tax revenue for that government in the long run. Another point: taxing 100% of your income is equivalent 100% to slavery. I'm pretty sure everybody agrees with that. Now, where slavery stops? At 99% of income tax? At 80%? The other taxes I mentioned before aren't forced on you and they are not enslaving you to the government. Most of your private property is acquired with your income. So "taxing" the fruit of your labor is like confiscating the fruit of your labor. There are hundreds of moral ways the people can pay taxes to its government: property tax and national sale tax are two examples. Now, less pure: you can have a flat income tax that will require congress super majority-only approval to increase.
