I agree with you. I would have voted for Keyes in a heart-beat if he had the chance of winning.

I truly believe that we are all "racist" to some degree but that is something that is hard-wired and also cultural. I know who I am and I know that I am not a racist (in the common understanding of the term). I have reached the age where I just plain don't care if someone wants to call me a racist because I know they are wrong.

It was also a lot of Arab Muslims who sold the Africans into slavery. In fact, it is still done today by some Arabs in the Middle-East.

I really don't get why voting for Obama because he is "black" is anymore ethical than not voting for him because he is "black".

I have been saying for a long time that it really makes me mad when people like Obama and Jackson and Sharpton call upon MLK Jr.'s name as if they are equating themselves with him. He was a man of conviction and he must be rolling over in his grave at the thought of what has happened. He fought and died for EQUAL RIGHTS, not for ENTITLEMENTS.

I truly believe that the left does not care about minorities or women. By offering "help" (read handouts) they are in essence saying that people cannot take care of themselves. By not permitting (demanding?) that people be responsible for themselves and work for what they want/need, the left is coddling people and telling the people that "we know you are too weak, dumb, stupid, etc. to do anything on your own so we will do it all for you."

I have pointed that out to many people. It is funny how he only claims his white half when it is convenient and he NEVER claims his Arab side. Of course, if one point any of this out, one is a racist!

He was originally a Democrat - I believe when he was a lawyer in Philadelphia. So, yes, he will turn his back on the Democratic party but the Republicans will not take him back.

That is because he knows that we conservatives in PA will NEVER vote for him again. I hate to tell him but I know of quite a few Democrats who also will never vote for him. He just needs to retire.
