Fair enough if Cummings was indeed opposed to HS2 and Huawei then I stand correcte, he does not yet have it all his own way. The fact remains that commentators on the left and right are convinced he is the one pulling the strings. We will find out in due course.

Conveniently ignoring the fact that even on Conservative Home Harry's criticism of Cummings is widespread so hardly evidence that Harry G's opinions are "99.9% crap".

It's fine to believe someone else's views are crap, we all do it all the time. What you can't get away with is that it is a "fact" that because Cummings has ruffled Harry's feathers means that he is on the right track.

But HarryG is not "so habitually wrong" it is just Squid's opinion that he is. If it could be proven that HarryG's views are always wrong you might have a point but it can't so you don't.

HarryG is far from the only person who doesn't like Cummings, plenty of posters on CH criticising him.

The logic is exactly the same. Harry G's feathers are ruffled therefore the person ruffling his feathers must be on the right track. It's bollox, I can't see how anyone can seriously argue otherwise.

I'm sure Corbyn ruffled Squid's feathers so by his logic Corbyn must have been on the right track. It's nonsense

As you clearly are unable to understand the point I am making we'll leave it there.

He claims that the fact that someone has ruffled someone's feathers proves that that person is on the right track. Anyone who stops to consider that proposition for a nano-second would conclude that it's idiotic

Logic really isn't your strong point is it?

The big issue is that this is being done to enable Johnson to throw financial responsibility out of the window. That's why Javid had to go and why he and Cummings are taking over the C of E function in all but name.

He's doing this for two reasons, partly because he loves big gestures but more importantly because he is desperately hoping that it will in some way mitigate the economic shocks that will follow the "No deal" exit from the EU that we are heading for at the end of this year.

This is not the Conservative Party I have known all my life, it has become blinded by the ideology of Brexit.

The whole "leaking" issue is a smoke screen. It had sod to do with that.

Such an inane comment. Had I been around at the time I'm sure the actions of Hitler and Stalin would have ruffled my feathers, so according to your logic that would be evidence that they were "on the right track".
