In my opinion, the Chancellor is a talented user of a teleprompter and has a gift of memorising scripts. Is that the only quality we should expect from a politician? To read for us in a pleasant way?

14.5% of £10000 is £1450. That's about 1.45% of £100000. You weren't taking £100000 mortgage back then. Stop manipulating. Housing is magnitudes more expensive today. Find me a mortgage with 10% deposit today...

This is another inequality. Blue and white collar workers and hit by record high taxes and the rich still can avoid paying anything. The young don't have a chance to escape poverty, because the more they try the more they are taxed, so they cannot amass any wealth. Government gives a message - if you want to put an effort into your life - don't, because we will tax you to death.

Remain option could increase the influence of socialism and options alternative to Conservatives offered borderline communist policies.
The young feel entitled and they want things to be given to them without having to work for it.
This was an economical vote.

Older generation could enjoy many tax loopholes that could have helped them amass wealth. Young generation cannot enjoy any of these and at the same time taxes keep rising.
The older generation somehow needs to pay the fair share.

There is also the other side. New IR35 changes will get legitimate freelancers caught into 50% tax range and if companies can buy services from anywhere in the world, why would freelancers stay in the country that is wholly unattractive and anti small business? They can work from anywhere in the world, and nothing will stop them from obtaining tax residency in a country that values entrepreneurship.

The young can make a lot more money by dealing drugs. Why should they put effort into legitimate business if it will give them little reward for the huge amount of work?
Current high tax low margin economy does not appeal to the young.
The lockdown uncertainty doesn't make much difference in this case. In fact people who are bored on furlough may be buying more drugs than ever...

Our market favours big players and at the same time small business cannot amass funding for research, because any reserves they could be getting are being taken by the greedy and spiteful tax man and other institutions.
Meanwhile big players pay next to no tax and can do as they please.

Every regime needs an institution where people who helped the party can retire in comfort and have something to do. Peerage brings controversy, but well paid quiet office doesn't.
Party has clearly steered left.

Businesses are not coming because the economy is set to favour big players. Small businesses received next to no help during the crisis and they are hit by excessive taxation and other artificial costs.
It's an extreme risk to start a business with little reward, so people just don't bother.
