I don't think you know many fiscal conservatives or you would not be saying that they cheered for Bush/Cheney debt. Many of us began screaming during the Bush term. If you don't recall a peep from the right, you never attended a Tea Party rally where Ron Paul and others first cautioned us about the Fed and the Banking elite. From Freedom to Fascism was filmed during Bush not Obama. There was quite an uproar in 2006 and before during the ROSS PEROT MOVEMENT. Many fiscal conservatives are sick about how much we owe China. There are solutions out there and Simpson Bowles is one. We need Bi-partisan collaboration rather than name calling and blame. We are all in this together.

Actually, there has been very little targeting of the youth vote but more youth trying to find a voice in politics. As a former Democrats that believes in caring for the Earth, promoting education, and training our next generation for the jobs of the 21st century, I find that the left has been slipping further and further from practical application of private sector vs. public sector balance in favor of system collapse. This has concerned me and I think our youth is waking up to this as well. WE NEED RATIONAL AND REASONABLE PEOPLE FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE SPECTRUM TO COME TOGETHER AND BRING A CONVERSATION ABOUT HOW TO PRESERVE INDIVIDUAL LIBERTIES, KEEP THE BUDGET UNDER CONTROL SO WE DO NOT ENSLAVE OUR KIDS, AND OFFER CONSTRUCTIVE AND CREATIVE IDEAS ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT, EDUCATION AND THE ECONOMY. We will only retake our government when we ALL become involved on the local level. Thanks for participating in the dialog.

I think the problem with aka Obamacare is not the 26 year old extension or the pre-existing condition clause. Those could have been handled in a few pages. But the other 2500 pages were written by health insurance companies and Big Pharma and do not address REAL Health care issues. As an alternative Nutritionist, I see many individuals who are addicted to their prescription meds and need education on how to become involved in their own health care. 26 year olds are not the drain on health care costs, it's the chronically ill and American with degenerative illness that has been plagued with constant hospital care and never finds a cure. This is our challenge. We must address why we get sick rather than medication management.

Hi Think Green. You are right on the first count. Both parties have been disappointing the electorate. But until we create a viable alternative, there are tow choices. Party organizations help with fund raising, messaging and volunteers. The extremes of each are creating the divisive policy battles. What if the left realized that the debt is unsustainable and the right realized that our energy policy is unsustainable? That's a novel idea.

Health Freedom Advocates tend to be Libertarians and Republicans. Why is that?
The Dems are favorable to regulation, controling outcomes and putting committees in charge.
This of course is a generalization but at the Capitol, it is my experience that this is what separates them.
Both sides are in bed with special interests. It seems to me that its time to stop supporting Democrat or Republican
and support someone that understands the Constitution, defending your right to choose what happens in your bedroom,
keeping health decisions that take place between you and your medical practitioner and helping you control how much you keep in your pocketbook.

I have been practicing holistic nutrition for 20 years now as well as helping to further legilsation to allow health freedom. In my experience, it is not the party that determines support for individual feedom to choose your health care, your doctor, your right to life. Many of us in the freedom movement have had to debate and educate members on both sides of the aisle. You could say that my philosophy leans libertarian but I support the Boulder County GOP platform of defender of Constitutional liberties. In my experience, over-regulation limits choice of health care. Obama care was written by Big Pharma. Medicare Supplement Act was written by Big Pharma. The Food Protection Act was written by Big Ag. We need government out of our food and medical choices.
