Adrienne Rose Blog : EXPAT TO EXPAT Q & A: WEATHER

This is such a great idea! Pity I missed April, maybe I'll be able to join in this month? It can seem like such a trivial thing, but it's amazing how much the weather can impact everything - your mood, your sense of place (or dislocation). I've loved living somewhere with such extreme seasons (and yes, I now own waaaay more thermals that I could possibly need back in Sydney!), but gosh I miss the long hot Australian summer!

They sound really intense! I'd love to have the tutorial but honestly it may be YEARS before I put it to use, so if it's tricky to find don't worry about it :) My recent post New listings + Discount (yay!) + North Korea (boo!)

Gorgeous! Love all these little touches - brings such personality to your blog and ties it all together nicely. I am totally coveting your new post headings with the watercolour wash, lovely!
Adrienne Rose Blog : 52 LISTS: 8/9 - MUSIC & TRAVEL

I love a good list! I always see these 52 list prompts and think 'I should join in' and then it ends up at the bottom of my to do list... Maybe this time? ps. also, what Kara said! Yes!
http://veranellies.blogspot.com/ : Lola\'s cancer diet

Thanks for sharing this + the previous posts, quite eye opening. We've been playing with our dogs diet since one of them had a bout of pancreatitis a few years back, we make most of their food now from fresh ingredients but there's a lot here I didn't know about. I'll be making some adjustments... All the best to Lola too, I hope she continues to go from strength to strength!

Handmade Spark : Moving Forward When You Feel like You are Behind

I really like the idea of setting a schedule for the on-line stuff - it's so easy to get sucked in and fritter away an hour or three on things that aren't really productive but as you point out staying away completely is not the answer as they are an important part of self-promotion. Setting aside time and sticking to time limits seems a very sensible thing that I think I REALLY need to do to get through the coming months!

Handmade Spark : Thursday Blog Links

A great range of links - I love that Christina Hendricks story! I'd like to see the Google Analytics for that shop after the story went up! I think these kinds of things are good for all of us though - the more Etsy gets featured in the 'mainstream' press, the more it will spring to mind as a legitimate, quality place to shop. Nice!

Handmade Spark : Planting The Seeds of Your Garden and Small Business

Nice analogy! It is a tricky balance trying to figure out how much you're willing to risk when you first start out. I've just started a second shop and the supplies (note cards) for this one are pricey, I'm just trying to figure out whether I should take the plunge and order another batch of cards or wait for a sale...I really like your idea of using items as gifts! I also need to add to the mix the fact that customers like to see more than a few products in a shop - for some reason having less than about 12 items seems to be a turn off (maybe it shows a lack of commitment?). Thanks for providing some food for thought!
