WRT your question on Iran being behind 9/11, yes, Peikoff (and me) say that Iran is the intellectual / spiritual foundation for these and countless other attacks on the West. To disregard, or otherwise ignore that is akin to only noticing satellites of WWII Germany, and not Germany as the head of the snake. I do wonder if you've considered the enclaves in the Western world of Islam (in Paris, England, Canada, Dearborn...) and what has been happening there. These don't appear to be people integrating into a culture, but rather [expanding] tribes immune to the laws of the country - with their own "justice" system.

There's a huge gulf between the [Christian] right, the left and Ms Rand's ideas. Specifically, most on the right justify their [tepid] toleration of capitalism on altruist grounds - doing god's work. That would never keep freedom & capitalism alive (as a foundation, it's unprovable and arbitrary), what of the next mystic that says capitalism must end - as can be concluded by the evangelicals promoting environmentalism. Ayn Rand's ideas are radical, and can't be squared with Christianity; one of these two sides is certainly wrong, one may be right - Objectivism is a system that is fully integrated and tied back to axioms.
