"Someone must assume the leadership because millions are ready to fight this battle."
I think in reality that is what this website is doing. It is making a call for leaders. The problem is most of us don't want to lead because we are afraid of the ridicule, etc. Also having one united voice is hard to achieve. Then having a group that will stand behind that united voice takes time and conviction, we are accustomed to right now or no way.
The teabags are cool, but making a real change is what is needed. Obama won with 67 million votes, it doesnt matter if there are a couple million of us we need 68 million to make them listen. These ideas will be poo-pooed because people fundamentally don't want to make the sacrifice it takes to make the change, they want someone to do it for them. All through history the few (soldiers) have always sacrificed for the many. I challenge everyone to be like a soldier and make real sacrifices not just a $0.15 token.
This website would be much better if it just had a forums area so thoughts and ideas could be developed and people could respond to those thoughts and ideas. Right now it is chaotic and random, which makes it very hard to read and follow.
If we want to affect a change teabags will not do it. (I am not telling people not to protest.) I think we should protest in a effective manner. If we want to get the attention of the government and the people who pull their strings we need to hit them in the only place that matters to both groups. How would you do this? Well my ideas are dramatic and improbable, mainly due to the coordination that it would take to pull them off. One remove your money from all financial markets until proper oversight and regulation is put into place. This would include removing lifelong bureaucrats and making government service have term limits ie government employees must retire after 20 years. Second demand term limits on congress 8 years then you are gone, no matter what. Last suggestion would be to stop paying taxes completely. All of this would completely cripple the system, true. But sometimes you have to start over on a project to get it right.
