That actually was the first thing we tried. It was not working for us...not necessarily the program, but Kayla was very resistant at that time to do it. Just flat out wouldn't. That's when we turned to a tutor for help. :)Lisa

http://www.frontierdreams.blogspot.com/ : Slump

I am there too...a lot of people are in various different ways. In a way I kinda think it is the season...maybe not so much the holiday season, but the center of the spiral season. Things energetically ARE getting tighter...and right now we are almost at the very tightest spot until Thursday...the shortest day of the year. Then I suppose things will settle more. More light. Mosre space. Springtime right around the corner for new growth. That's what I'm attributing it to. There's a lot to be said for all the driving around to and from school too. I couldn't imagine that with a baby in tow. Mama's NEED that nap time just as much as the baby does! That's a big reason why we homeschool and why we seriously didn't do any extra curriculars during those phases of babyhood. We stayed homebound for days, even weeks, on end. You're doing a great job and soon things will settle for you. Just remeber to breathe..a lot...really deep. :)Lisa

Yes, we are reading the borrowers in it's entirity. We are at The Borrowers Aloft right now. Such a long set of books, but the kids love it, and I remembert having memories as a kid thinking and dreaming about little people who lived in our world too. :)Lisa

It's funny how some kids are with knitting...like madly in love with it. That's how my Bella (pictured) is, more so than her older sister. She told me she feels like she just can't stop. I know exactly what she means! :)Lisa

It will come. My first pattern was a waldorf knitted horse. Then I was off! For awhile I kept a little print out of what all the abreviations meant though, which helped. :)Lisa

I never did either. But it looks so nice having them all organized and together, so I'm going to make that my goal...to try to remember to log them in when I do new projects from now on! :)Lisa

They sat in mine for sometime too, till I thought how I wanted a simple project..in time for winter tootsies. Five pairs is one more pair than my agenda, but you can do it. Maybe next year. If you start early, you could just knit a pair every other month ;) :)Lisa

Oh yes, a lesson indeed! My lessons are rolling in left and right in the most obscure ways these days. Hopefully all of them result in something as cute as slippers, right?! :)Lisa

Yes. I love it! My oldest actually taught me how to cast on. We kind of learned together by making a scarf together. The my next daughter saw us and couldn't wait to get into knitting. She had to wait a few years, but she's off and knitting now! :)Lisa

You are so right! December is perfect to practice a little letting go. I absolutely LOVE your practice of letting things pass till their time rolls back around. That is a good thing for me to remember. And congrats!!! On your summer baby to be. What an exciting time for you and your family! :)LIsa

I think so much changes when there is more than one child to focus on. So much goodness comes along, but there will always be that mama need for connection for me...I want to be able to connect deeply with all of my children...get in there...know who they are...and let them see how much I love them. It's a challenge, but a worthwhile one. :)Lisa
