I never had to take a PE, but my sisters both took "stretch and relax," which from what they've told me is really "lay on the floor on a yoga mat and take a nap." The university I work for has some awesome PE classes though--they just built a new pool that has a special section for simulating rapids for kayaking--I would LOVE to take that as a PE. Same with rock climbing and tap dancing. The biggest bullshit PE I've heard of here is walking--but I live in a pretty outdoorsy, active city, so students here tend to gravitate toward PE classes like bouldering, canoeing, rafting, and hiking.

So very, very true. Subway also has flexibility to put shops in really small spaces. A popular example here is a Subway in almost every BP gas station convenience store. Franchisees build the sandwich counter on the convenience store's leftover counter space and rents space in the store's existing walk-in fridge/freezer and drink machines. Renting the space from the convenience store gives franchisees an even lower overhead--not to mention that the Subway doesn't have to wallpaper the space and often only installs 1 table for people to eat at since most people are just picking up something to take home anyway.
